I was on a female Imperial Templar and this guy starts following me around while I'm questing. I think we are just on the same quest chain so I stop for a bit to see if I'm just imagining things and he will continue on. Then the whipsers start. "You have pretty eyes." Umm okay. I tell him I'm a guy but he thinks I'm lying. He wants to voice chat. Time to log off. I also feel sorry for women gamers. Creepy people everywhere.

Here's a supporting anecdote: This reminds me of a time that someone was following my friend around Daggerfall. She had a petite toon wearing that blue gown that makes you look like a Disney princess. (I can't remember the name of that costume.) For about ten minutes he wouldn't leave her alone. I happened to be on a male toon at the time, so I finally sent the guy a duel request and waited. He declined and ran away. I couldn't believe that I had to do that, and also that it worked.

The search for the elusive bloodfiend before it was implemented as a crownstore item. I’d heard some disconcerting tales about gulids guarding the spawn spot and charging a prohibitive amounts for a bite; rather than concede to these unscrupulous cheats or you know, just ask a guild mate, I concocted the perfect plan. I was in the process of completing Cadwells silver, before the days of Tamriel one, so I meticulously converted in game time to real time and stayed up at an obscene hour to evade those scoundrels who’d deprive me of my bite.

I camped out at the spawn spot. The poor players who past by—no more than three—were treated a display of hostility from an inadequately attired Altmer and I got my spawn! Haha! I was triumphant!

And...I wayshine back to AD land and my guild mates were like “oh...I’m a vamp, I would have bitten you for free.”

Before I understood that food buffs don't stack, I used to hork down everything I had between boss wipes as though that was going to do anything. There I am, hand over *** crusty bread while everyone looks at me like I'm an idiot.

Not knowing ranged taunt existed while I was one of both tanks taking on the twins in vMoL.

Crafting a Master Item before using the Master Writ.

Thinking Cyrodil could be reached via one of the areas surrounding it.
Rezzing a lone player in Cyrodil which turned out to be a trap.

Thinking I was attacked when accidentally stumbling into a vampire shrine.

Oh I used to do this too, I thought you could have one food and one drink buff active, makes sense right? At least I started using food eventually, from launch until I got to VR levels I pretty much ignored it, thinking it was just like a Skyrim thing, more for immersion than anything else...

My first character was a Bosmer DK magicka healer. He is one fine crafter now though.

Dosha almost made me quit the game. In my defense I was on a Bosmer DK magicka healer.

Heh. I've had stuff like that in WoW and RIFT (in SPADES - so often it was sickening) but not here. Thankfully. In the other games, I just told the creeps I was old enough to be their great-grandma (I usually was - or at least their grandma) and they should consider how they'd feel if a creep came onto her like they were doing to me.

Generally it worked. A few times it didn't - and then because I had good vibes with the CS staff in both games, I reported the crap, and those people went away. They probably made new accounts - but at least they never bothered me again.

It honestly seems less a problem now than it did from 2006 (started playing WoW) through 2016 (quit WoW in 2013, started RIFT 2013, quit RIFT 2016). So far, I've had zero issues here, and for that I'm TRULY thankful.

[Edit] Um.... I'm not a girl gamer - I'm a granny gamer. Serious. I have great-grandchildren (eh, by osmosis sort of - they're husband's but I get to claim them too if I want them since I've been married to him for 43 years now....)

Although I tell people that I am playing it “ironically” or “to prove a point,” deep down I secretly enjoy playing my BG snipe spammer toon because it’s the lowest stress playstyle for PvP imo.

Not everyone joins the forums at the same time (or ever).

Three years into the game and I just found out you can charge heavy attacks and follow-up with skills.

Quite early on in playing, son was watching me play & continuously die to mini boss in Auridon. He then pointed out to me that the red markings in the ground were not good & I should stay out of them. Which helped.

Been trying to do that ever since - easier now they are shocking pink.

And I also thought you could have food AND drink at the same time.

There are other things- looking back i’m not sure just how I managed to get my khajiit stamblade with points equally distributed in attributes to V16!

My first time entering cyro. I was in full mundus gear, had absolutely no idea how pvp worked (hell I didn't even proper pve either back thenlulz) and didn't had buff food.

Was mounting around till I saw a wall. It had a health-bar, so I got excited, assuming I could take it down with my weapons... Started to pew pew it with my bow, didn't understand why its health wasn't going down. While I was way too busy shaking my fists against the wall in confusion, a ganker saw free AP standing there like a helpless sock and ceased it's chance, basically one shotted me lmao.

I am a female gamer and it does happen but its extremely rare imo or maybe i am to oblivious to notice it

On topic:
I had alot embarassing moments just bc of the streak skill, streaking off the platform in COH in begin of fight without the possibility to be revived happened several times and many more clumsy mistakes like that.

I loved it. I did all the delves and quests and I'd queue for random dungeons. I got to about 500 CP before I discovered the boat to take you to other aliances. That was when the Hooded figure approached me to begin the main quest. I so shocked.

First dungeon I ever did ever was that one with the Ilambris twins. We were fighting them, running around all wild. I didn’t realize there were TWO of them. We killed one, and I stopped fighting and started celebrating. Well the tank died, the healer died, just me and another dps was left. Well I valiantly fought that last Ilambris guy while the other dps rezzed everybody. I was like my bad lol.

Holy cow, by 500cp I had been playing for about 2 years lol. Either I must have been enjoying questing too much or you hit the grind! Either way, glad to see you're enjoying the game. I would have loved to see the look on your face when you saw the world map for the first time lol

I went the entire event thinking the 100% exp was just given to you, it was only the last few days of the event did I realize I need to drink from the keg to get the exp bonus.
