    They need a betrayal quest line like EQ2. Make it available but make it difficult and somewhat long to prevent hopping. They could also lock a side you left so that you could never go back with that character.

    I have characters in all factions but I would like to keep most as they are and change the faction on one or two or characters only.

    I have characters on Dominion which I don't want on Dominion.
    Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

    I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
    I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
    I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

    I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

    I personally wouldn't change the alliance on any of my characters. I'm just so used to the characters I run into in my alliance.
    But I definitely wish it was an option. I'd be a fan of controls on it, like not being able to collect end of campaign rewards immediately after switching and a cool down on how often you could switch.

    Be a good thing if offered tho and it stopped alliance switching in pvp, but i seriously doubt it would stem.any of the nefarious behaviour

    I have an AD character I made at launch before I realized you could do all 3 stories on one character. He survived solely because he was my only enchanter and I was too lazy to level it again. Now he is my pve character. Everyone else is DC

    Only if changing races changed your faction.
    Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

    I don't think any of this is even relevant to pvp. You need minimal skill points to cover relevant skills and passives, not 400. Achievement points don't mean anything, nor does being a master crafter. And the pvp rank of a character just signifies how much you've played that one character.


    So, no I do not wish to change faction. In fact I have one of each character I like to play in all factions anyway :)

    Having 400 skillpoints is amazing as i dont need to have a seperate crafting toon. You dont decide if achievements are important for me. Crafting has its perks in pvp. You also dont understand complitionism. Rank doesnt indicate skill but it is a huge time investment i dont wanna lose.

    DC definitely has the most interesting story, but you can experience that without changing factions. I don't much care for which side I represent in PvP to be honest. I guess I'd still want to represent AD since Ayrenn is the most morally upstanding of the 3 leaders.

    I wouldn't be opposed to a pre req like completing Main, silver than Gold, and also having a reasonable cooldown. The only drawback I can see would be potential faction imbalance, however, changing faction would open a road to using a character you neglected earlier or made before you were serious about pvp on the Alliance you're most comfortable and familiar with.

    I made characters of every faction (before 1T), just because I always make a character in every 'story' to try it all.

    And I made them with Any Race/Any Alliance, so they were already a giant mixed bag of whatever.


    Also, I don't pvp, so I don't care at all about faction balance, faction "pride", or any of that stuff.

    You could still keep your old alliance if you chose to do so. Only people that want to change would change alliances.

    I never said I was against the idea lol. I just wouldn't change personally. Like I said, I'm all good :D

    One of beginnings day I made mistake when created dunmer DK in Covenant and later find out thats Dragonknight Standard carry faction symbol and instead of red dragon I get blue lion, I would like to change this as its dissonace with my roleplay of dragon knight.
    I do not want recreate character from scratch just because he in Covenant I would like to transfer it to Pact and receive proper Dragonknight Standard with actual dragon on it.
