If you could change factions, would you?

Who here has a character they wish they could faction change on? Maybe that character that you created before knowing the pvp environment or faction storyline? While I prefer the dominion lore, I would rather pvp on the covenant.

INB4 "Make a new character instead of being given a choice to change the factions for your character that has over 400 skillpoints, 29k achievement points, master all crafts, and is rank 45 in pvp" comments.

I expect Zos will offer something like this eventually. However, it would more likely be a reaction to revenue dropping. They probably tend to make good coin off those who roll new characters as it is. Not to mention revenues they get off people who spend tons of money on crown crates. They really have no reason to add alliance change.

Besides, I am not the type of player that hops factions just because another faction is doing better this month.

Want all my characters playing for EP. Wish we could select which faction we want to play for when entering a campaign.
Tying the character to the alliance for the duration of the campaign, rather than selecting alliance when creating a new character.

Yeah, that makes sense and will add long needed drama and purpose on overall campaign rather then just battles for fun and rewards.

I'd only support this option if it meant that all city guards in the faction that you betrayed would attack you on sight.

I've already rolled other factions at some point so personally, I'm set.

I'm favor of faction change tokens, though, provided they have a long cooldown, like 90+ days, so they can't be abused.

Maybe... I'd like to have the option, at least... not sure if I'd use it, though.

EDIT: I'm not sure I would ever change the faction for my two non-AD older chars (they're are mostly crafters at this point...) but I could see me wanting to change the faction of an Argonian NB I created under DC in a rush, without thinking... so I can bring her to the NB nights my PvP guild do some times

Nope. I made all EP characters from the start. My only DC character was created to PVE with a DC friend before One Tamriel update. I now use that character as a mule. I'm not against a faction change option though... I just would not use it myself.

Honestly though I did appreciate getting to see the difference in the home base areas. I’d thaught about making a red toon to experience theirs also. But it would also never get played.

I played some Skyrim and that was all of my knowledge about the elder scrolls so when i tried eso i didn’t care about alliances and i didn‘t realize i wouldn’t get a choice to which side i pvp on..well done

But, yeah, as someone said, a 90 day you're-stuck-with-it period makes sense. Otherwise every campaign in Cyrodiil would become more lopsided than some of them already are.

The clash of two design decisions:

1) The three banners war.
2) Listening to the people who complained in beta about not being able to experience all story-lines on a single character.

Put these two things together and you had the situation at launch.

Yes please. I made some characters in other factions before having the slightest idea about pvp & I would love to be able to now play them with my AD pvp guild.

BUT there should a a long cool down period before you could swap again and, more importantly, a damn campaign lock.

Yes, because my main character (who is also my main crafter) and another important alt are of the Aldmeri Dominion. Both had been created before I joined my current social guild, which is focused on Ebonheart Pact, and before I bought the Adventurer's Pack allowing me to create characters in any alliance. Being unable to change my faction effectively prevents my two "bananas" from joining our guild's PvP activities in Cyrodiil and in the Imperial City.

There is simply no way I would ever delete and reroll my main crafter, as he is too advanced.

I still love the Aldmeri Dominion storyline the most, but as faction only matters in PvP zones now, it is simply a matter of being locked out of guild activities in this field.

I would like a "loyalty service token." Changes ALL of your characters to one alliance. Once per account. That way it cant be abused.

I would like to change some of my EP toons because I feel dirty every time i use them in combat even if its battlegrounds.

I have one DC I made before I knew covenant lands were a boring dreck, and before I knew how awful DC are to pvp with. I wish I could make her AD She’s a Sorc and I already have an EP Sorc so it would be nice to have her on AD. She’s my only Breton.
