Set yourself to offline while doing the walking farm.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

Well, are you wearing prisoner’s rags and a 2 handed nondescript greatsword with a character named with random garbled letters and numbers? Maybe reconsider that decision.

He has every right to do that and doesn't need to change that at all. Listen to yourself. Bot hunters don't have a right to harass people and should be social banned a few times as a warning.

I see that the point of my post has gone over someone's head. :D

I have seen you in the game talking about bots. Not in the last month or two.
Yeah, I have some nerve damage that has prevented me from playing as much as I'd like these days. I do like to announce that I'm looking for bots and call them out so that others can report them too. It's a group effort. :)

    or
    to all you paranoid players

    I got three 370 chars

Now I decided to level a new Char as Master Craftsman/woman
Yes, I look for resources a lot because they are naturally so cheap to buy...haha.

I walk everywhere and that seems to annoy many players. You know...
harvesting crafting resources and walking of course equals 'Bot' naturally
in the minds of many players.

I am really getting sick of being accosted by paranoid players challenging me for a duel just to find out if I am a 'Bot' player.
I mean..Veteran players challenging a lowly level 18 Char stomping about where no one else harvests. Come on... Really?

Worse are those players who threaten to report me if I do not respond to their 'silly' requests to answer.

Yes, 'Bots' are a bother...certainly....but not every player who behaves differently from 'You paranoid players' is a bot.

please get of your 'playing different is bad' horse and leave me be. I am having fun leveling a pure Crafting Char.. .
it is a lot of work...you know.

    Regards,
    Kara Kitsune

If you're on PC NA and I challenged you to a duel it was because I was bored lol. Sometimes when I run around farming and bump into someone, I'll challenge them to a duel just to break the monotony. Hardly anyone ever accepts though.

Yes, I've often mocked these kind of players multiple times on this forum. I stopped due to numerous mute/temp bans. Some of them actually follow these people around and make videos and come on here and name and shame. They have an addon that allows them to target players and report them with a button click. Effectively flooding ZOS's ticketing system and probably getting put on an ignore list. These people want to be judge, jury, and executioner. I've been told I should have my account perma-banned because I can engage in bot-like behavior as a troll on these kids. Which apparently makes me just as bad.

These kids are obsessed with it. It's apparently what they enjoy doing in the game rather than playing through the content.

I have been reporting bots since 2014, and I have yet to report you for botting, or even see you in the game. At least, under the name @qbit . I am careful about who I report and I take it very seriously. If ZOS wants me to stop, they know how to reach me. Just sayin'.

I do want to point out that, while they do have every right to run around looking like a bot, it is not really a smart course of action. It is not something that a normal player of the game would do. It would have to be deliberate. The main reason someone might do that is to attract bot hunters, presumably to either waste their time or try to get them in trouble for reporting someone who is not a bot. I won't be the one doing the reporting, because I would not see them as a bot, but if they do get reported as a bot, I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. It is not like ZOS blindly bans anyone who is reported, so if a few mistakes get through, ZOS will likely catch them.
