Maintenance for the week of December 22:

So my friend recently got ESO as a gift. She can open the launcher and click play, but then after a black screen for a couple seconds, it crashes. We really don't have any idea why it's doing this, but if any of this helps:
OS: Windows 8.1
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4010U CPU @ 1.70GHz 1.70 GHz
Installed Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Update: When she clicks play, there is a loading screen and cursor, followed by a crash report from Windows saying "ESO has stopped working." Before this happened, she went to the Downloads folder and clicked the install file. It basically started installing stuff again. Maybe there was an installation issue.
Update: Now it's giving her the other error again where the ESO launcher gives her a crash report.
Update: After trying the repair option from the launcher, it still didn't work. Now she's updating and restarting her computer.

Not to be dumb, but what does this part mean?
"Try to set your virtual memory to 2.5 x this. That is(not system controled[min and max this])"
Also, would it work if we bought additional RAM? I did that for my computer.
yes. But your Ram is verry small.

Game's dropped me twice tonight (so far). One logging out and swapping to another character; the second zoning to a guildie's house. Both were long load screens and then kicked to login screen. Two different characters; 20 minutes apart (or so)
PC/NA.
For the love of god, fix your servers.
EDIT: Make that 3 characters in 25 minutes.
EDIT2: Had to just close out. Endless loading screen.
