No need, honestly. It's completely broken and procs from literally everything. Same goes for Red Mountain. The damage is really low though (on Way of Fire), so anything like even Viper would be better.

No-CP was always a proc infested hell but honestly red mountain is in a much healthier spot compared to something like skoria or zaan. That being said Its suprising how often people choose viper over red mountain, I think RM is a lot more bursty and viper as a front bar set makes no sense when you can have master dual wield instead.(I'm comparing those especially because I see so many people running dual wield viper)
I think instead of comparing red mountain with the way of fire, people should compare it to poisonous serpent, Which is a much better set imho and Its fantastic on a stamina Dk.

Best thing about Red Mountain imo, is honestly that people will instinctively "Hahaaaa! I dodge your silly volcano, noob!". People not ready to rolldodge all the time will lose a lot of stamina. And if you have Skoria on, some will try to rolldodge that too as they seem to mix the sounds/visuals up.

Both sets proc off of weapon dmg. To be optimized, you must build around weapon dmg. I suggest rendering slash (probably a must) as each dot dmg counts as wpn dmg.
Also, blade cloak with either morph is also strong as it will help proc each set and you can go for major expedition. in fact it will passively proc the set, so rven if you are on defense, you can still put offenseive damage.
then its a choice between flury which hits multiple times and spin to win. I havent tried spin to win but I eod imagine it does well
notes on furry, rendering can snare and you can use the morph for quick cloak that grants major expedition, so you have a better chance to connect all the hits of flurry, dramatically increasing the rate these sets proc
On backbar, either two hand for rally and execute or if you have bow, poison inj. and draining shot as you would need to heal. poison inject is a wpn abikity, so stacking 2 wpn dots with rendering and with cloak and furry should keep huge uptime.
Also, being fire dmg it will hit vamps harder
Wait a second... Quick cloack major expedition makes the sets proc? How? You mean the damage it does every 3 seconds right?

Yes, Rm and Way of the Fire are not procced by Dots per se as someone claimed earlier in the thread, but by weapon abilities. So every use of direct damage weapon abilities and every damage tick from weapon ability DoTs---Volley/Hail/Barrage, Poison Injection, Acid Spray, Blade Cloak, Brawler etc---have a chance to proc those sets, as do light and heavy attacks.
