New Ability altering Weapons

Hey there,

Since one dlc per year gives us new ability altering weapons (clockwork with asylum, nerfmire with Blackrose) i started to imagine how the next weapons will look like. We only have 1 skill left for each weapon skill line who doesnt have an altering weapon. And these missing skills are quite popular so it will be intresting.

I came up with some ideas but i am also intrested in your ideas for the new weapons.

Two-Hander:
Momentum - Grants you and up to 4 group members minor berserk for 10 seconds
(Perfected: Grants 129 weapon damage)

One Hand and Shield:
Power Bash - Using Power bash against an blocking enemy will set him off balance.
(Perfected: Grants 1206 max health)

Dual Wield:
Hidden Blade - Applies Major Fracture to each enemy hit for 10 seconds.
(Perfected: Grants 1487 physical penetration)

Bow:
Snipe - Thinking about buffing this skill is giving me a headache.... so give me your ideas

Destruction Staff:
Weakness to Elements - Grants major sorcery for 21 seconds.
(Perfected: Grants 129 spell damage)

Restoration Staff:
Force Siphon - Targets effected with Force Siphon Grants Allies the "Drain Life" synergy. Activating it, will drain X Amount of Health from the Target and Heal your ally for the damage dealt over 5 seconds. This can occure once every 20 seconds.
(Perfected: Grants 129 magicka recovery)

What are your thoughts about this and share your ideas for the new weapons.

Great ideas, only one I don‘t agree with is: Weakness to Elements, as most people will morph to Drain anyways, it provides absurd sustain already. As a free cast this could be spammed endlessly for the 80% redux...

But first they should revisit, fix and homogenize the useless/broken old weapons.

Yes, thats right. But to slot a weapon wich only buffs an ultimate wich cant be used often needs to be a really strong weapon and this will buff the ultimate way to strong i guess to be worth slotting.

Ye, elemental drain gives already an crazy amount of sustain but i couldnt think of something else for a free cost ability. Maybe it could grant the caster major sorcery....

EDIT: Actually Major sorcery isnt a Bad idea. Since a some magicka classes dont have class acces to it or are way to expensive (mdk) this could be really usefull. I will edit my first post aswell.

Weapon set is using for back bar for the most of case , such as VMA bow and staff unless you use AS destroy staff .
552 is too good at this moment .

552 vs 5322 , combat team should revamp the weapon sets vet version / perfect version attributes to balance current situation .

Why can't risk vs return ? Anyone running VMA bow at front bar ? Why no ? Combat team , have you analyze the big data ?

I run VBRP , not running for the freaking weak weapon sets , just for fun and challenge .

I feel hopeless with the last skill weapon sets , the team really have problem with the item creation indeed .

    My idea, building from yours:

    Dual Wield:
Hidden Blade - Applies Minor Fracture and Minor Breach to each enemy hit for 10 seconds.
    (Perfected: Grants 129 stam recovery)

Major fracture already has enough sources imo. And the daggers are/were used by stamsorcs for example and they would enjoy some more sustain.

Ehm what. Who runs bow on frontbar in a competetive pve trial group? Doesnt matter if vma or not....

Maybe i didnt got what you want to say with your Post....

And vet brp weapons are strong, for example the 2h with the extra penetration is really nice.

I was also thinking about minor fracture/breach but this wouldnt be really strong or worth slotting. My idea behind major fracture was more pvp focused since builds who utilize dual wield have either a bow or a 2h backbar and non of them have a source of major fracture. (Besides snipe but who uses snipe in melee combat)

It might be "nice" but compared to the 5 piece you are forced to give up for it it is pretty terrible.

There are some builds that can handle this quite good. I use Fury on body and Powerfull Assault on S&B Bar where i have vigor so i can put Asylum or Blackrose on 2h bar without loosing anything since powerfull assault only procs from vigor.

Ive actually been thinking about this a bit lately, and thinking about a lot of the lost opportunity i see in this game. Some other mmos ive played give you cool weapons that do something special but you have to get them from maybe killing a certain world boss or dungeon boss or trial boss.. Sometimes with some RNG. But in ESO we have ability altering weapons.

So after the last weapon skill is used i can think of 3 ways zos can go. First they will use the weapon ults, which if they do will just mean this same thing will occur just a bit later (also i think its a bad idea for them to make these weapons with ultimate's but im sure they will). The second thing they could do is start making class skill specific weapons. This is something i think would be cool but im not too sure if it would work well. The other thing i was thinking is that they could make some new weapons that have *something like* boosted enchantments. Maybe they dont just drop from trials/arenas, and maybe they also have something like weapon/spell damage etc..

For example, if a flame glyph deals 3k damage, then maybe the new weapons could have a glyph that deals double that tool tip.. I think it might add some more choices to the game.. Anyway, im not sure what they will do with the next weapons but i think they will end up being pretty good. Also some of your options seem cool, and some seem a bit strong. Like momentum, maybe if it was just yourself, and maybe one other player, that might work pretty good. But i suspect, when it comes to momentum, it will be more focused on healing. Maybe gives major vitality for 3 seconds like the black rose resto, or maybe minor mending...

I'm more like: What are we supposed to run when we USE *any* of these sets? Been calling for more 3 piece sets for quite a while now. And it's real. Especially using Master and VMA weapons; they might be good - but what can you legitimately run with it? The 3 piece sets we have are rather underwhelming. Of course you could use just 3 pieces of a 5 piece sets for bits and pieces, but I want to see some 3 piece sets actually making a difference, having a purpose.

For VMA for example, I'd never go there on a stamina character without Vengenace Leech. More stuff like that. Not just stats, some kind of "proc". It doesn't have to be "When you deal damage the Red Mountain have a 50% chance to erupt on your enemy". Just something. Doesn't have to be huge, because you gain something from using the weapon set too.

People use it in PvP too for sustain and a Target debuff. I use it on a mag sorc and it’s very nice. While I do agree that major sorcery on this would be lackluster, I think it shouldn’t be just a Healer only weapon. We need some diversity, something that is useful for both scenarios. Although maybe something like also applying minor lifesteal or something along those lines could be helpful in both scenarios.
