Most of the event quests are fun, but after the third day I start to get tired of doing them. I love the mudball quest, and the Alcaire Castle quest.

The first time I did the event, it was fun. This is the 4th time now, and it's a grind. I wouldn't have bother except we have event tickets now, so I do one quest a day for that.

First year I'm actually doing them. Rng isn't kind. With 4 characters I've done them each day and have 10 writs. The first couple times I did the quests great but now? Boring. Once I get the last two it's once a day for the ticket.

they are the same as last year. only new rewards have been added this time. anytime you do the same thing over and over it gets boring after sometime. this is true for zone dailies, events, group content and etc. this game is no different than any other mmo.

I did them til I got the skin and will do one a day to get the mystery box, all of which have been extremely disappointing thus far. They really need to change up the rewards for those of us who have already done this and need literally nothing from it. The quests themselves are overall pretty cute though I could do without the fishing! And the Betnikh quest! Too many people and not enough wolves and wasps to kill, not to mention the depressing litter of wolf corpses make this one ZERO fun.

Nothing wrong with that. Not everyone has to do everything every year.

The quests are no fun at all after doing this every year. I’m only doing them until I get skin. Including a nice skin as a reward is a great idea. I’d like them to refresh the other rewards - they are mostly worthless if you’ve done the event year after year.

Double XP is always welcome though. I’m using this event to level a new tank. Double XP that stacks with a scroll is making it very very easy.

I think the chance of getting a writ should go up, bc I've only gotten one writ and ive done 18 quests per day since the event started (i dont have a whole lot of time to do these quests). It just seems unfair that some people got enough writs on the first day to get the skin and people (like myself) are going to have to wait til the price drops on the writs to eventually buy it bc they're way too expensive now.

Don't get me wrong, these events are great for the community. But not when people start price gouging for a writ that gives one voucher and you have to craft something like a small chair.

This game is getting really stale.

    Same events year in-year out.

A new mount and skin, woopty-doo.

This game lacks innovation. And that's sad because it has so much unrealised potential.

    It feels unfinished.

From a primarily PvE player, my favorite event is Midyear Mayhem... when it works. I seriously think a lack of effort goes into PvE events, and that they could be much better; New Life Festival included. The quests are just boring, run here, press button here, run some more, press the same button again, and maybe watch a few character animations here and there. They are about as lack luster as you can get.

I enjoyed this the first year I did it, but it’s become tiresome.

At least the XP is pretty good. I think I’ll manage to get all my unleveled characters to level 50 thanks to the free XP boost. Stacked with ESO Plus and an experience scroll, leveling when events roll around is trivial.
    lvl50 Characters:
Toxlexel (Argonian Templar PvE Healer, EP)
Grove-of-Trees-Swaying (Argonian Vampire NB PvE Tank, EP)
Kazabi-daro (Khajiit DK PvE DPS, AD)- build under renovation
Iroas Candaalil (Maormer [Dunmer] PvE Sorc DPS, EP, vMA build)- build under renovation
    Trick-of-the-Light(Argonian Warden PvE Healer, EP)
    Characters being leveled:
Meera-Ei (Argonian DK PvP Tank, EP, Grove's sister)

Tiresome. Was fun the first year but I am only doing them until I get the Charity Boxes out of the way.

They need to come up with new 'festivals' to keep longer term players interested. We can't keep doing the same thing every year.

The quests are poor and the way its structured is worse. It should be a quest chain so we don't have to go back to Breda after doing every single quest. Locking a desirable reward behind rng serves to emphasise how bad these quests are. Its the worst holiday event but prior to this one it could be ignored.

Ehh, for me.. after three times of this, really same old, same old. it's all about the double xp.

Entering the event having received all the items and achievements in previous years, it's all about the XP for me as well. I don't care for the skin, so I'm not going to grind just for that. I do, however, do one New Life quest per day for the Undaunted box. That was nice of ZOS to extend that for us.

My first year, so it's fun. I don't care about achievements, and I'm not going to do quests that require one compete with other players for stuff - like meat etc. Nope. Not going there.

I would like the towel, but so far it's not dropped for any of my girls who've got that quest. I'm not running all the quests on anyone but my main (and as stated above I won't do the "compete for items" ones anyway) - I'm just doing enough on the others to get them a level....

If i could change one thing, I would make it so that if you have the achievements you no longer have to return to Breda because you're a regular.

So instead of going to Eastmarch > Shadowfen > Eastmarch to celebrate the Fish Boon Feast, you would just go straight to Shadowfen and finish it there.

There is only one compete for items one, Betnikh. The rest you can do with people at the same time or pay a small fee to bypass the competition.

And that one directs you to compete for them but you don't actually have to because you can get it done anywhere on the island. Most don't know that and go straight for the competition.

Yeah, I'd already read that it didn't have to be in the circle to count. However, the only time I did that one, there were a BAJILLION people all over the island. Took me over an hour to find a wasp. Not fun, not doing it again. As I said, I don't care about achievements so doesn't matter.....

Its always like that the first day and then it gets a lot emptier. I recommend giving it another shot and just avoiding the circle. If you go to the carved hills wayshrine they shouldn't be too hard to find.

I really like the new life festival, the quests are great and it has a lot of flavour.

I really HATE having to grind them. It takes the fun out of it, they are not enjoyable to repeat, it's just RNG at this point. I don't want to spend hours doing these bloody quests over and over again in hopes of getting enough writs to get the ice skin.
I WANT to be doing dungeons and trials with my friends.

    1. No.
    2. No.
    3. The skin is the only thing that gets me doing these garbage dailies at all. Though if I didn't have the motifs already, it would be a major pain in the *** to get them, and those aren't just cosmetic, they affect master writ drop rate, and are required to craft some of the master writs.
    4. That it's long enough to get the price of those damn writs to drop enough for ordinary people to be able to afford them without spending 5 hours every day doing these boring cancer dailies on 15 characters.
    5. Remove the event and/or make the rewards available throughout the year (even if it's more difficult to get them outside of the event), so that people can get what they want at their own pace. This applies to all events and their rewards.
