    Totally agree with OP, these festival events have not been created to accommodate new or solo/non-guild players.

    It should not be beyond the Wit of ZOS to combine the original pledge with a live weyshrine, which would enable newer players to port to areas they haven’t previously discovered. Similarly, they could do this with Breda’s quests. Not having these makes it way harder for newer/solo/non-guild players to take part.

    Given this isn’t the case, you have some options

    1 use the boat/transport NPCs - they can take you on a roundabout route, but they will get you there or thereabouts. This is easily the best way to get from zone to zone

    2 ask for a port in zone chat - this worked really well during the Summerfall event

    3 walk/ride (on your hopefully trained mount) through the various zones from their starting point. But good luck going from Stonefalls onwards as the route is questblocked

    There are benefits to doing it this way too, you get to explore Tamriel, discover new weyshrines, quests etc along the way. The festival isn’t just about boxes.. but it would be nice if it made more effort to accommodate new players/characters

    We had one foot lopped off at birth and another lopped off for Christmas. We were only allowed to use them as a special treat at public celebrations. We used to dream of hand me down feet.

    So many to thank. So thank you all for all the great tips. I have learned a lot from this thread. I really appreciate all the help you are giving me. When I have the feel to quit, this is one of the reasons why I stay. Even though we are all strangers and have differing opinions, we still help each other out. :D

    I logged in from school just to help you. You can get someone to teleport you to Eastmarch, either ask from someone in zone chat to tp you to Eastmarch, or you can travel to players from your guild (if you are in one), you'll have at least 1 person in Eastmarch.
    OR you COULD take a boat to Davon's Watch, from Davon's Watch take a boat to Deshaan, from Deshaan to Shadowfen and from Shadowfen to Eastmarch. It's a lot of loading screens, but this is one way.

    WHAT you had HANDS?! This one has to squirm through the snow with no hands OR feet. Can not imagine the luxury you were having, is hoping you were very appreciative. Khajiit dirties his fur this way.

    I have to admit, I was beginning to think this was a massive troll and I was going to say well done for getting series replies, good trolls are rare to find. But as you were serious that's fine too.

    To answer your question btw, @name and character name both work, I prefer @name though.

    If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask me by mailing @Delsana

    Edit: Also, your @name is the account name you log in with to the game on the login screen, and your characters names are the names you see after logged in and choosing a character. And more importantly press the c button in the game will bring up this information as will pressing the o button.
