Endek✭✭✭Does this mean that the Tuesday & Wednesday Scheduled Maintenance will not go ahead?
I'm hoping so as I am really enjoying the game and so far, have only experienced a couple of very minor glitches.

Please can you do maintenance when its early hours of the morning, when people sleep or at work, not when people are coming home from work/school.

i TOTALY agree.
i work in IT too, and no server goes down when people are "working" maintenance gets done at night or early in the morning at 04 till 06 so dont tell me you guys can't do it. It's not because you americans have the server on US soil, and the IT guys live there. not with this HUGE playerbase in EU.
Come on. you can do better than this !!!

Give it some time, they will release a new patch today. How many games had a good release, just like TESO? I didn't play GTA V for days, FF A Realm Reborn for days, don't let me start with Sim City and many other games.
We didn't have login issue's, we can play atleast with almost no lag and no problems. (only some qeusts bugs and glitches), but we can still play till the end, and there aren't any game breaking bugs.
Just saying....
Whining, whining and whining, is all we do!

Vitellus✭I have to say they have chosen the wrong time to do an update if they keep this up I feel it will just annoy a lot of people. game is great etc and I agree that some things ingame have to be fixed and a maintenance is indeed needed and a good thing, but constantly doing it during EU prime time is the way to go to anger them...
Don't repeat the same mistakes as some US based mmos that don't take into consideration EU times, it is highly annoying.2 -

Chaosx✭✭What people don't seem to realize is that no matter what time Zenimax does maintenance at, it's going to effect someone, somewhere. The best they can do is try to minimize the number of people impacted by choosing off peak times. An off peak time is when THEIR server has the least amount of accounts logged in, not when it is most convenient for YOU.
That being said, the game is brand new, and like any game that has just been launched, Zenimax staff are busy trying to squash bugs and address server issues. In order to do this effectively, they need to release PATCHES, which means MAINTENANCE. This is standard in MMORPG's, especially in the first couple of weeks after the game launches, so if this is your first MMORPG then get used to it, it's a fact of life. This is not Skyrim online.
You might prefer to play a buggy game rather then not play at all, but you do not speak for the rest of us. There are quests people are patiently waiting to get a fix for and server issues still needing to be addressed, and we welcome the downtime because that means some of those issues will be fixed!
So please stop being so self entitled about not being able to play for a few hours, and let Zenimax do their work in peace without having to listen to your complaints, you will have hundreds of days to play this game in the future.
Regular scheduled maintenance is 2 days/nights (depending where you live) a week, which means no matter what time zone you live in, you have 5 days/nights within which to play at the minimum, which is more then enough for most players.
Go outside and live a little, go get laid, watch a movie, call your Mom she misses you and hasn't heard from you since this game launched!1 -
Rudal✭✭✭I'm sorry but I have to add my name to the list of all those people that are complaining about stupid server maintenance times in EU.
Like others I work between 7:00 and 16:00, so maintenance starting at 15:30 and lasting SEVERAL hours is not really acceptable.
I can understand server restart or an hour downtime to fix some problems but a full maintenance?
I didn't actually pay to look at login error whole evening and then find out that I can finally log in at 23:30 when I'm actually going to bed.

Nimrael✭✭Servers being down in EU playing times is bad, but as long as they fix the broken stuff (and there's a LOT of gamebreaking things being completely broken at the moment), I'm okay with it.
I would not be fine with a scheduled maintenance time at this hour though, once things get running smoothly (which hopefully will be soon).0 -

i think most of us here likes the fact that they are patching the game and doing their best to fix it
but if they can have the EU and NA server online and offline no depending on each other to stay online
then wouldn't it be better to take an extra night shift in and get the EU server checkup done at the time where the least amount of EU players are going to be hit by it such as early morning to lunch or so
