Over 1/2 the day I can't connect to ZOS server and sometimes it says "account does not exist" for hours. I don't always have bad lag in the game, but when I do...I just log off. Always seems to happen when the servers are congested, how coincidental...
It really grinds my gears when people incorrectly use the word "Literally" all the time in everyday casual conversation.

You're able to log in, therefore, the game is indeed playable.

Actually the definition was officially changed in the dictionary so that the word means both "literally" and "virtually", so they are using it correctly because it's entirely meaningless now.

I played all day with very little trouble TBH...
You know, it's really too bad that they changed the definition of literally so that it is now a literally meaningless word.
That's cute some of you think it must be our crappy computers or connections. There are 10 pages on the topic of lag by Oceanic players......so you're thinking we all must suck at life as every single Oceanic player must have crappy PC's and internet?
I have a high end spec computer, and I have a very good internet connection. Online gaming will always have some kind of lag for us, but we can deal with that. This game has lag spikes where even the simple action of harvesting can take almost 10 secs.
But just some of the attitude here goes to show why nothing gets done about it. If YOU don't experience lag, it must be us....the whole damn Oceanic countries, every single one of us....us with our crappy consoles PC's and internet connection.....sure...we're the problem.
So stupid!

Then explain how a year ago when I last played this game I could play with minimal lag? Both my husband and I subscribed early this week to play ESO again, and the difference in the ping spikes was huge. Last year, we weren't even on fibre and my computer hadn't been upgraded, yet we could both play comfortably with the occasional lag with little to no problem.
Playing this week I have my husband teleporting randomly around the place as we are questing together, random DC's, I can barely get off spells, Harvesting takes forever...and I can assure you - all of this was not happening when we last played the game. Something has changed which has caused the frequent lag spikes.
I understand what you are saying, and yes, we in Oceanic often have it bad, but it was never this bad when we last played. We could do Vet dungeons and trials with little issues, now neither of us want to even attempt one because of the how unplayable it has become.

Charles Dickens and Mark Twain both used "literally" figuratively. I doubt this started with millenials.
We have decimated the word.

Not necessarily. There are lots of ways that it could be unplayable other than not being able to log in. For example, you may be able to log in but find the lag is so bad that your commands either don't work or have so much of a random delay that they may as well not work at all.
I agree that the OP is probably exaggerating out of frustration though.
The op JUST cancelled plus and probobally onl y gonna login to destroy all my stuff then uninstall. this game is a steaming turd!
