Well, you can always come back, if things improve, or if you change your mind.

If any game is causing you more stress than it is enjoyment, then you are right to stop playing it.

It’s a game; and people can take it or leave it. Simple.

If you have performance issues post your PC specs, area, internet provider, explain exactly where, when, and what issues precisely that you’re having and give people any real, non hyperbolic data to deal with.

The truth is that whilst this game has a whole host of issues; a LOT of people are running it on a toaster and expect it to make a Sunday Roast and do the washing up after.

Make an insightful post with quantifiable data, so maybe anyone (users or Zos) can give some help.

And pretending the problem doesn't exist by simply saying "it's fine on my end" or "what are your specs" or "you have bad internet", or by having the thread locked will help any better?

Insightful posts don't help. Has been tried before, Zenimax simply doesn't care. Just need to look at this thread. 7 pages of detailed feedback, of players doing Zenimax's job, and yet Zenimax not only ignores it, but refuses to do anything about it when questioned directly. This isn't even specific to performance, the same has happened in basically every part of the game.

Last night several zone posts (vivec na/pc) about how much of a PoS this game is because of the lag.
Surely all those people can't have a bad connection or bad gear?

I used to never get lag. After summerset, I get lag that ranges from 200-999. It's random and can be in pvp or pve zones.

The pve zones baffle me the most because you dont have huge "zerg" groups in one location.

Don't infer your own nonsense from what I write, and then argue with your own inference quoting me like I implied it.

A lot of times actual data HAS helped.

Do some reading and research before you show yourself up.

If it was one-off, sure, I'd shrug it off as somebody's connection being screwy, and they're misconstruing that for the server's. But it isn't a one-off. The sheer volume of threads about performance recently, let alone in total, shows that. Jesus, look at PC Technical Support.

That's not even the point, though, just look at how everybody is not even addressing the thread topic here. Rather than actually discussing what drove the OP to leave (of which performance has also caused me to stop playing), we have people memeing, pretending the problem doesn't exist, and pandering to the "I have no problems" crowd. Then, since this is a kind of "I'm quitting" thread, it'll be swept under the rug, without any actual discussion happening.

Bull. Read the 7 page thread, proving that not only is a specific jump within Akamai's network causing ping to skyrocket, but Akamai's routing is actually trash for oceanic users, causing our ping to tank unnecessarily. I have to use a damn VPN with a special route for ESO traffic, just to have my ping be under 500. Akamai is a problem, this thread proves it, and yet Zenimax isn't even considering looking into it.

Hell, read most of the constructive threads within the PTS section.
