Instead of giving a box for a random dungeon, how about giving a box for the first pledge completed?
This would eliminate the jumping to Fungal Grotto thing.
People can choose which of the 3 available each day to do.
The only problem is for characters below level 45 that can't do pledges but they could let them do any dungeon if they are below 45 but once 45 and over it has to be a pledge
Or just keep it simple and allow any dungeon boss whether its random or not. Let people have more choice in how they complete the event
Anything that will stop the salt being poured out over this
Thoughts?

The idea is to encourage players to use the GF.
If it is rewarded for completing a pledge it does nothing to encourage use of the GF.
I am not suggesting your idea is not good. It just does not inspire the behavior Zos intends. Although getting GF to work properly would be a great start but we will have to wait and see if Zos intends to actually fix GF.

Encouraging players to use the GF tool only works if the GF tool works. ZOS needs to fully solve that problem if they want to use it in future events. If they can't fix the problem, the event needs a different trigger. Seems logical to me.

People know about the group finder and some will use it anyway. Making everyone use it puts an unnecessary burden on the system and creates issues like the one we are seeing with porting to a different dungeon.
Honestly the community would be better off without the bickering. It's just so tiresome

- They could simply code it to reset the bonus reward if you enter a different instance.
- They could limit it to one bonus per account per day, preventing the artificial need to do as many alts as possible.
- They could choose the content required based on player/character experience level. (Not CP's, not level, but actual historical content experience level ~ a dungeoneer rating, if you will.)
- They could equally provide reward relative to the above factor.
All players are not equal. All content is not equal. Why, then, should the rewards (or the incentive to acquire the rewards) be equal?
Of course people will choose the least common denominator if given the option.
