Trying to find the perfect pieces, gloves& belt has not been going so good. It kind of has me thinking either no one is using this or people are trying it out and buying up the sought after pieces quick.

Update: I got the ward pieces and transmuted to Impen. I’d only tried this stuff out on Dueling so far. I’m not very good at Dueling it seems. Or maybe I’m just Dueling too good of players and getting rocked. Quick. Maybe CP needs changing?

Not fair to make a complete assessment yet, but early on it feels like crap. Not because of the sustain loss entirely. I also tried putting the bone pirates back on and these guys still rocked me. Quick.

Need to find some fights where this setup can be explored a little more before writing it completely off.

You should consider going for a well rounded build instead and learn to PvP.

No. Give me the cheese. Well rounded builds don’t work. You’ll just get killed to someone’s cheesy procs, lethal arrows or spin to win.

This game is far to broken to learn how to do things proper. I’m usually dead before I realize something was even attacking me In Cyrodil.

It’s time to change that. I’m ready to change CP, Gear, Skills, whatever. It’s time to learn the true endgame.

Ive read some cheese stuff for Sloads, Duroks, Tourgs, Fury, Brass, etc..is VD still a thing?

I’m gonna stop going into Cyrodil and battlegrounds with dungeon build toons and getting wrecked. That stuff don’t work there.

Its now my third campaign. I am bad at PvP and there is no cheese. I started with 5 pieces Bastion of the Heartland which was a good decision to learn what happens while a keep siege or ambush or tower siege.

Then i morphed myself into heals/support and since i just suck at DPS and 1v1,1vX i ll stick to heals/support and work more on my survivability. Currently CC pi**es me of and i stand back a little or it might happen i rage quit.

I kind of gave up on the ice warden and went with a max magic on that dude. Maybe it’s time to re visit this guy.

I went back and tried the ice warden in Cyrodil. Don’t tell everyone, but this guy is ridiculously strong team player. It’s nuts. highly group oriented, and totally fine solo as well. Totally loving it. I can finally kill people!

Builds not even really right. All my gear is divines, CP is setup for PvE still. I’m probably not really set up right for there either...

Apparently I was doing it wrong with the ice Mage theme. It’s never gonna be great in PvE content, but for PvP it’s freaking amazing.

Ok. Hard as I try, I still very bad in Cyrodil. So going with this setup and being not quite so bad was a major step up. People that are good at PvP might think otherwise. But for me, it’s been pretty great.

seeing in your sig that you are CP 258 means to me that you are still midgame. CP in cyro can be ridiculously OP. I felt like the watershed moment for me was when i passed 400 or 500 cp. made sure i had 1500-2000 impen and honed my rotation for me and not a streamer. I am mainly a zergling but, I can hold my own against some of the more experienced players.
molag kena, bsw and war maiden (yeah i dont do trials)
i make extensive use of pots and poisons and hardly ever run tri-pots except in the 4th or 5th slot.
poisons to pay attention to : anything with immovable and cost combined, movement speed penalties are also good
potions to use immov/health/mag and immov/health/stam and speed/invis

getting these things into your normal routine will make you ba and everyone will hate you but, winning you will be.

Back on the StamBlade, I switched it up a bit.

Still Bone Pirate 7th Legion, but instead of going 5 heavy, 2 medium, I went 5 medium 2 Heavy. I’m a little more damage, but a lot more squishy. Don’t like it. It’s taken time to get used to heavy armor, but it seems much better to me For survival.

Some guy recommended bloodspawn over troll king. I’ve grown pretty fond of the troll king. I don’t want to give it up.

Other points have been brought up recently that I really can’t ignore. Even if running in the Zerg is my thing. StamBlade doesn’t really ad anything towards group play. It’s very much great for solo or just adding nothing but straight damage.

Groups like having my warden in there....Ice Warden at that. Permafrost, slows, more slows, CC, defile, etc. these guys are freaking game changing group buffing monster in larger scale PvP.

The Ice Warden Mage in Cyrodil is quickly becoming my Ultimate Warrior. This guy is tough. Ok, I’m not doing 1vsX stuff or anything, but he brings so much Group utility, it’s great.

I might maybe be able to take on a couple potatoes at a time and definitely make the fight last long enough for reinforcements to arrive. Compared to getting rocked in 2 seconds, this guy has been a major step up.

I’d hesitate to call it OP or anything but easy to play and relatively successful. Has me wandering why I keep messing around with other things.

Group play is where it’s at for me. The nightblade just isn’t doing it there. I play him more like brawler though, so really not taking advantage of his strength so much. Thinking maybe I should put his gear on my Stamplar or StamSorc or something.

Took a dive last night while back on my main nightblade. Actually I was just on this guy working on gear for another toon and get some random duel invites.

It was quite fun! Well, not getting killed in 2 seconds. This fight could have kept on going but I had stuff to do, so had to put the controller down and eat a Lose. Was fighting another nightblade with I think the same setup as mine or very similar anyways. I was still in 5 medium 2 heavy bone pirate 7th Legion troll king.

Then something happens. Some guy in zone is trying to sell Legendary Gold 7th Legion rings. I made a fair offer and he COD them to me. Well, now I’m invested in this guy a bit more. (It was still way cheaper than they would have been through the golden)

So now I have another question. Should I leave these healthy or transmute them to something else? What should they go to? Triune, Swift, Infused, Bloodthirsty? My purple ones now are still healthy. I had just swapped out from Bone Pirate to start using 5 medium. I wasn’t happy with it at first, but that duel had me thinking medium isn’t so bad after all?

I’m probably not ready to fight the regular S/B 2H duelers that slog around the undaunted area. Fighting these guys suck. They Turttle up and let you burn a bunch of resources down on them, then come back with some burst combo...ahh that’s another L2P for me I guess. I’ve thaught about swapping out my Bow for a S/B.

Your options for jewelry traits basically boil down to robust/triune/protective.

Robust gives you good damage/healing and a larger max pool to ease sustain and protective has the best defensive power of any option.

Triune is the option if you’re not quite happy with your health pool since it also gives a little offensive power and lets you use your magicka-costing utility spells a little more freely (also give 50% more total stats than robust or healthy).

Honorable mention to infused for having the highest raw damage output if you’re using gold jewels (I use infused on my magplar), but most of the time the extra max pool from robust is more useful than a tiny increase in damage.
