Server Maintenance...

Why do you keep performing maintenance at silly times, like EU day time (3:30pm)??? server down time several hours.... WTF
Please can you do maintenance when its early hours of the morning, when people sleep or at work, not when people are coming home from work/school.
Sorry if you find this rude, but you expect to pay money to play the game, STOP pissing them off with silly maintenance.

Have to agree m8, when i was playing Rift you hardly saw a maintenance as it was done in the early hours of the morning around 2am.
Zenimax have alot to learn

Again.. Zenimax just don't learn and read the forums or reddit at all, most people just get from work and are looking forward to have some ESO play time and have some fun and then you get home when the servers go for maintenance and then you have NO ESO playtime at all.. wtf is with this.. Hire employees who can push updates in the mornings rather than doing it on the most peak hours, never seen a company who have server maintenance in peak hours.. mostly all of this is early mornings.

So now we must all get use too not playing most days when we get from work and miss out on our game time and subscription we pay for?

Considering all the things that are broken -- and seriously broken, not merely "inconvenient" -- I'd rather have ZOS/Bethsoft get stuff fixed, fixed properly, and ASAP. My guess is that they were still diagnosing/preparing the patch package(s) over the weekend based only reports received, which is why they're doing it now.

THe game just launched and things need fixing and tweaking. I'm sure the maintenance schedule will become normal after a month or two.

Nice. the time is 17:40 in mid/eastern Europe, just updated my subscription plan and now this... Do you even plan these at all (it's a patch right) ? I mean the post to take down the servers were made a half an hour ago.

If the servers are down for several hours like it says it's one more lost prime-time play day for us Europeans, again. Well done

I was paying for this game and due to my working times i am able to play it from arround 4pm to 11pm GMT only. This is getting rediculous. Time to ask for a refund.

Yep im sure they get there one day, hopefully they move the EU server to a EU Host to lower the latency, 130-150 to high as well, game that you need reactions to play, cant have high latency.

The EU servers are located in the US for the time being. That's why your maintenance is during prime time.

Zenimax already stated that once the servers are moved to Europe, the maintenances would be adjusted accordingly.

I understand that everyone's angry at this but I prefer having a maintenance and bug fixes than no maintenance and a broken game.

Be patient, the game won't disappear over night and you'll be able to play tomorrow.

As for the maintenance posts, can we keep it at one please? No need to create thousands of them and clutter the forums.

Hopefully they are extending the grace period as well. That would make a lot of customers happy. I seriously doubt it though, the way this has been handled so far.

Please Zenimax, make me eat crow on this one. I would love nothing more than a nice big hot bowl of crow soup. But unfortunately I don't think crow is on the menu today.

They should change maintenance times to 11:00 AM -1 GMT.

For both NA and EU, EVE has that same timestamp and it ensures the least amount of trouble when doing maintenance for both servers.

They could do daily maintenance even with that timestamp.

I am all for maintaining your servers, getting fixes out etc. But for the love of god, stop doing it during prime hours. That makes no sense at all.

I don't mind the maintenance. What I would appreciate is more warning to give us a chance to get to a safe location. Also, an approximate time when they should be done, "a few hours", just doesn't fly.

Of course server maintenance are needed and good but not during primetime. If they want EU customers they shoud do shift working, like in other business. Also what is so hard to give an approximate time for the downtime? That is an easy task to satisfy some customers.

But since I've sure most of you want bugs fixed it seems silly to whine and make these kinds of threads when things are being fixed.

NA maybe online but now my launcher wont go past the Zenimax logo >.<

You totally missed the point, maintenance is great, love it, the problem and reason of the post, is they have a problems with the time they performing maintenance.

You can send me a generic "we didn't fix anything" reply after I made a ticket about deleted Imperial Edition Items.
You can have a bunch of broken quests.

I don't give a damn where the servers are located. It doesn't matter, what matters is if I can play or not. Get some *** shift workers because if you're not serious about your game how do you expect to succeed?

No matter what time they do a maint, SOMEONE will be inconvenienced. So no, I don't think I missed any point. I think some people just need to accept the things they can't change instead of acting as if the world is ending every time something happens that may not have been exactly what they wanted.
