Yeah...got normal Fang Lair on my tank yesterday...asked if they wanted to port...they said absolutely not... they still had the pledge so I said whatever...2 810's, and 340ish I believe...I'm 810 (1147 CP)...

So we get to the first "boss" the arena where only adds spawn...and all 3 promptly die...rez one of the 810's...he/she doesn't rez any one and then almost immediately dies again...so I just solo'd the rest of the adds...

Posted "should have done FG"...and left... Only had a 90 second penalty for the next queue...

I absolutely understand you. I ported to FG only twice when whole group asked for that but actually had to drop out from one of the runs which is very unlike me.
It happened when I landed with one of my dedicated tanks into DC2. Someone said they had a pledge. Hmm. Ok. I normally help people in such cases, but holy.. they had been poking the first group of trash mobs endlessly. After I imagined what will happen with them at the Engine Guardian I asked to kick me. No reaction. So I just left and jumped on a different character to proceed with the event. After I finished I jumped back on that tank and instantly got into WS1 with much better group. Jeez... people why are trying to do stuff that you are obviously not ready for?

If you had read my other post...you would have noted...that I do not port if any of the 4 members of the group don't want to...but I will not be spending my precious time running a DLC with a group when it takes close to 15 minutes to finish the first miniboss...with me as the tank soloing it...

Also... people telling me how to spend my money is most definitely not a 2 way street...

I ALWAYS stay and help people when I do my rando for the daily - even though 5/10 I'm basically soloing the thing, the rest it's me and one other player doing most the things - but I think from now on I will only Queue random vet with a preformed.

The entitlement to our time I've seen over these last few days when I know from experience that people have been cool with staying when someone wanted gear or a skillpoint or w/e - I just - whatever.

Not like people who stayed with porting group didn't get their motifs or whatever too.

I really do not know what kind of lives some people must have to be so ridiculous.

TIME is the MOST PRECIOUS commodity that any human has.

How anyone thinks they're entitled to anyone else's is far beyond me.

I reckon that some people just don't know how to ask nicely.

Same as staying for end of dungeon roleplay if you need skillpoint.

I find if I'm on a lowbie and ask nicely (Will anyone please stay with me a moment for skillpoint? ) someone ALWAYS has stayed.

If I happened to be in a group where one person didn't want to port, we stayed.

I really think some people just bring bad fortune upon themselves.

honestly the biggest problem here is that there are people that I fit into the category of "this is why we cannot have nice things"
you know.. the ones springing the fungal grotto on a group - with no communication, no asking if all agree, getting angry when not everyone in a group wants to follow along. THEY are the biggest toxic problem, ruining it for everyone else, basically.

Reminds me of those stories where a store has a flash sale on some junk and people stampede through the door and start punching each other to get it. Using the DF for this event was simply not worth the reward. Leave it to the crazies who think they're getting something for free.

honestly? people in first category should be making premade groups. and no I don't have a problem with this trick one way or another, it DOES save time. however, it is incredibly presumptuous to just spring it on a group of random strangers and expect them to happily go along with it.

Actually the teleporting to fungal Grotto is nothing new it's been happening ever since they added the XP bonus for random dungeons. If you get a hard dungeon just teleport to an easier one for easy XP

People have been using this trick for a long time. It seems like an exploit - but the system allows for it and ZoS has never bothered to do anything about it. This isn't something I'd report players for.

I don't blame you for not going along with it though. Wussing out and doing Fungal Grotto 1 over and over doesn't sound like much fun to me.

Something just occurred to me - I've seen a lot of topics complaining about people who teleport to Fungal Grotto complaining that they're exploiters who should be banned or have all their rewards removed.

These topics often include claims that they're "toxic" players who abuse and harass anyone who doesn't conform to their expectations.

But I've never seen a complaint - in game or on the forum - from someone who wanted to teleport to an easier dungeon but couldn't because their group wouldn't agree or who lost a group member in the process because they refused to follow. If they're such aggressive, toxic players who are making random dungeons such an unpleasant experience for everyone else I'd expect them to have been a lot more vocal.

It makes me think we're only seeing 1/2 the story, if that.

I enjoyed the event the 5 times (only got to do random dungeon 5 times because of the broken crap, and I have a life. Something ZOS forgot players that buy expansions and DLC usually have). All in all, I would think the event was a joke, but I got fang lair chest on first run so...

In not carrying pugs through dlc dungeons, the first pull tells you a lot about how it will turn out. My time is valuable as well. If pugs want to have their groups disbanded due to not being ready for dlc content they can waste their own time.

It's not only you who has limited time. Most of the time I was running with guild group of 4 people, everyone wanted grotto1 for faster. Few times I got random pug group with crap dps and I was doing 70-80 percent of the group damage as FAKE TANK. In the top of that got endless dlc dungeons. No, thanks, I don't wanna waste time on boosting whole group in dlc dungeons. So you are wasting your time here on forum, instead of finding a guild group to run with you on random normal? That's nonsense
