The Enchanted Snow Globe, Un-Christmassy

I have already decorated the Snow Globe in a festive style when it first came out on the PTS, but whilst deciding whether or not to buy it, I decided to try out an un-christmassy style, to see how useful the house would be for the rest of the year, and thought I would share.

I don't mind having a festive house all year long; my Coven Cottage is permanently decorated for Witches' Festival. Granted, it's quite a bit smaller than the Snowglobe.2 -

✭✭✭✭I actually really like this house, even the layout, even for a non-winter theme! I'm not a big fan of the skybox though, nor the fact that it is crown exclusive.

Its eternally-festive gentle snowfall makes it feel even more magical." Seeing as they borrowed shrinking technology from the clockwork city, it would be fitting to put clockwork things in it.1 -

Thank you very much My Halloween house will probably remain that way too, but I think when I make my Christmas house (as soon as my game decides to work again) I shall probably go with Ravenhurst for that, so I wanted to try out some other things in the Snow Globe. I must admit, I am not the biggest fan of the outside space there, despite loving the house, but perhaps creating a garden will change my mind

It's the PERFECT thing to put on loop while I reread my seriously antique "get in the Christmas mood" book: Pilgrim's Inn by Elizabeth Goudge. Set in the years just after the Second World War.... it's not for everyone, but then.... I'm old as dirt.... works for me!
Ski lodge - 'cause I live in the mountains of the American southwest.... 7k feet here, already have a bunch of snow thank you mom Gaea! Been too long - too dry, not enough water over the summer, had to ration....

✭Nice to see an un-Christmassy rendering of the Snow Globe, it works very well. That house is really not the easiest to decorate, as it has a bleak interior when bare, but yours looks very inviting.
How did you get the illusion of water sloshing around in the bath (I don't mean the water running from the fountain into it)....makes it look so much more realistic than just the usual running 'tap'.
Good luck with planting out the outside....that won't be easy to do and still keep the snowy, frosty atmosphere. Apart from the fir trees we are a bit short of suitable items/plans for that sort of garden.1 -

Well, see - husband is Swiss. Some English, but mostly Swiss. Family emigrated here in the 1860s. And my heritage is Celtic. Deeply Celtic - Scots, Irish, Welsh.
We're so screwed. We'll be buying everything he's recorded. Call it: my birthday, our anniversary (43 years next week), Christmas, New Years, plus Mothers and Fathers Day next year.1 -

Good Morning I used the crafted bath. For some reason the one from the crown store does not have water in it. I also used the mist from the witches festival pack above the bath.

I wasn't planning on buying this one either, but I think your video might have sold me on its potential.
Good idea raising the floor of the middle part in the basement to segment the room. You may remember I raised the sides in Autumn's Gate to do the same. But in this house raising the middle part works actually better, so I may steal that idea from you. 1 -

✭✭I am ashamed to say I turned mine in Santa’s Bordello complete with a bar and gaming tables upstairs and some luxurious redguard style... err... sleeping areas... downstairs with plenty of cushions, hand towels and skooma pipes... poor Nuzhimeh is starting too look quite tired and even Tythis is starting to look forward to some time off....Edited by Tavore1138 on December 5, 2018 7:19PM2 -
