Stop! No new class. Class is outdated. We need new Skill Lines.

Dhovakiin skill line? Necromancer skill line? Fine, fine! But not Class.

Oh, and no new Races. But skins.

Point one - a "Dragonborn" class would be quite lorebreaking at this time in the elder scrolls universe, as the lack of a dragonborn to plop on ther ruby throne and relight the dragonfires to lock out all the daedric princes bent on mischief is one of the main shticks for the very background of current questlines...

Point two - we already have a "dragonborn light" class with the dragonknight.

Point three - if anything... then a Thu'um skill line, though that's iffy as well, seeing how it takes non-Dovhakiin nords decades to learn and master even a simple shout... just ask the greybeards!

    Agreed.

New classes would be meh, at least for those who already made a dozen alts or more and played them through the game. Worse for those who might find any new class a b etter fit for an old character.

Skill lines are better, be it new guilds to join, or new weapons to master, or sub-class specializations to train in!
Oh, and no new Races. But skins.
    Disagreed!

Skins are just illusion disguises in effect.
New player races could be added crown-store like, just as Imperials are, and would be refittable to any existing character through racechange tokens, thus would make a good addition to the game...

    I agree.

I would prefer new skill lines. I really don't want to have to start a new character and do all the same quests, sky shards, achievements etc. all over again just to try a new class.

Here's the problem with going skill line instead of class for something like a necromancer, for example.

You can't make a necromancer with it.

I mean, you could. Just throw all five necro skills and the ult on your bar and forget that you even have a second bar. Tell me though, how many Psijics do you see running around like that?

Necromancer class = master of the undead, wielder of the dark arts, lord of the graves, etc.

Necromancer skill line = some dork of a dragon knight found a magic doohickey that raised the skeleton of his dead uncle and now the old fart just follows him around, constantly reminding him that he's a total disappointment who deserved all those wedgies he got in fire breathing school.
"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster...when you gaze long into the abyss the abyss also gazes into you..."

Should never have had classes. Just masters who give quests and reward with skills. That way you can be what you want while balancing is done once and forever.

Actually, more like some destro abilities and some necro abilities on your first bar, and some resto abilities and some other necro abilities on your second bar, with some soul magic and possibly undaunted stuff (you know which one) mixed in... sounds very necromancy to me!

    Not so.
Not in the elder scrolls series anyhow, where necromancers are -truly- only the mages dealing with raising undead and playing at death magic, and nothing else... not like in other games or backgrounds, where necromancers may also cover blood magic, or dark magic, or disease magic, or corruption magic... but here, they really, truly, are just the death nerds you so ridicule. As if easily slaying them by the cartload whenever you face the worm cult in your questings was not an clear indication... ;)

Dark magic and demonic/daedric curses is already done by sorcerors after all. And while sorcery is not necromancy, necromancy does seem to be a specialization for conjurers, going one step further from comjuring up daedra and going for playing with corpses and spirits...

So actually a skill line would be -perfect- for necromancy as depicted in the elder scrolls universe!

i still think my idea of a Daedra/Aedra skill lines would be great, you could only have 1 skill line active though.

Doesn’t make sense Lorewise to have a Dragonborn. I love the idea of more classes, and although highly unlikely i would love to see more races to, there is plenty of lore to supply the game with new races. Skill lines would be great to, i saw a thread about adding a specialized skill line to each class so the class could be specific to what you want to achieve in game whether it be player performance or Role playing
