Hi, i'm walter and i'm a new user.
i've purchased two gtx 1080ti connected in sli.
i've maximized all settings ( my res is 1920x1080 ) 120 Hz monitor vsync disabled.
with only one card fps rise 90 out and 45 in cities sometimes 30 fps.
adding the second card nothing change.... sometimes 50 48 instead 45 fps in cities 90-95 out
i'm very confused...why this happened with two "monster high end cards"
i've a x99 extreme 11 asrock card 16 gb ddr4 ram xmp2800.
my cpu is an intel i7 6850K

some one could help me ?

I am no computer expert. I have heard that ESO does not utilize graphics cards which are set up in an SLI configuration. Basically, you will be using one of your two 1080ti cards - which should still be quite enough for ESO.

From what I understand, your issues could reside in your internet connection, or they could simply be server side. All of the monster computer setups in the world can't overcome issues on the server end or with your internet connection. It's like your computer is trying to drink a really thick milkshake through a tiny straw. Sure, it's got the muscles of a fully grown troll, but that tiny straw is still limiting the milkshake (ESO) delivery to a mere trickle.

Also, you can try disabling all of your addons and see if that helps. If it does, you can add them back one by one to see which one(s) are causing the problems.

Eso is more cpu reliant from what I've seen,it also doesn't utilize all the cores well. I doubt it's even your hardware that's the issue.

ESO is CPU bound. Your actual processor is going to be a big bottleneck if it's not strong enough.

Maybe you should have done some research before buying all that nice new shiny hardware.
A simple search here would have yielded you with hundreds of threads on the subject.

A lot of the fps problems for ESO are part of the client architecture and implementation and have little to do with your hardware.
I get similar fps numbers with 8 year old hardware on my old gaming rig when compared to my new gaming rig ...

So true. In most places I am 50-60FPS with drops to the 40s if it gets crowded/lots of particle effects/etc on Ultra, and I am running it on a machine I built for SWTOR back in 2012 or whenever that was. i5-2500k, 16gb ram. Only thing changed was upgrading to a 970GTX a couple years back.

So, if it is CPU bound, why am i getting same low results with an OC-ed i7-6700k@4.5Ghz? Problem is, my gpu and cpu, almost never work above 30% and im getting like 40 fps in town, and almost 20 in trials like Sanctum Ophidia. There is a lot of computing power unused. They should work harder and keep it at least above 60 fps.
Best thing is, im using a monitor with 144 Hz to play a game below 60 fps.

    Hi Walter,
Sorry for the necroposting. If you still experience problems with fps, you should probably read this :

One 1080ti is overkill for this game at 1920*1080. The best PC on the planet is going to get poor frame rates in this game once you leave town. Welcome to Tamriel.

Top PCs get high FPS in trials which is much more demanding on that towns and anywhere else in overland.

Edit: and that is on ultra. It is called overclocking.

Just out of curiosity, is your new machine running on a low power mode? You should go into power settings and check, because this will restrict performance by a lot. ESO cannot utilize SLI, but one of those graphics cards should be enough.

Two 1080 Ti's in SLI at 1080p resolution??? you are going to be heavily CPU bound at that resolution.

You would be much better off at a bare minimum resolution of 1440p up to 4K even with two of those cards in SLI. For those two cards in SLI, 3K display would probably be the sweet spot.

All that goes out the window though when you consider how game developers don't really support SLI or Crossfire these days... honestly, it never truly caught on in the MMO space... just too difficult to try and put the work into a client to support that type of configuration when the vast majority of MMO gamers are NOT running anything beyond a single card AND they are usually folks that are a generation two or 3 behind the current gen.
