Couple new ideas for the game.

Hi fellow eso fanatics!

I love this game and wanted to share some ideas I'd like to see Bethesda add. Hopefully this will be seen by some game developers 🤞

1. Option to hide individual slots of armor under character appearance, just like our hide helmet. Let people be naked (typically khajiit lol) while still actually wearing armor.

2. Ability to deconstruct furniture for mats.

3. Increase the fence items limit.

4. Longer hair options. Many players have complained about this in chat, let us have long flowing locks! 😜

5. More pets. Give us more variety. Like birds. Owls, ravens, hawks, bats (I know, not a bird but still would be a cute vampire pet).

6. Vampire lord morphs. Like in skyrim dawnguard dlc. I loved the ability to transform into a vampire lord and deal some serious damage. Ability to fly and have vampiric grip, claw attack, and bite my enemies in battle. It would be nice to be just as powerful as a werewolves ultimate. Maybe come out with a vampire dlc with a vampire lord skill line 😉

Those are my thoughts on things to improve the game. Other players feel free to add your own ideas.

I really want different Warden pets. A bear seems weird with a stealth character..... how about a fox?

    A fox would be awesome!

    NO.

Nothing is more immersion breaking than emotionally immature, sexually repressed people running around naked. If you want this go play Second Life or one of the many MMOs that already provide for near- or semi-nudity.

No new flying pets. Hard enough trying to turn in writs with the flying pets already in game. Or at least have them land when the player stops moving.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

if I could make another character, their name would be Cries-For-Character-Slots. AKA, I need more.

One thing to note, the vampirism strain that we have, from Lamae Bal, does not let its users become vampire lords like the one from Skyrim. Our strain lets us resist the effects of the sun (which if you've played the other elder scrolls games, the sun can basically kill you in Oblivion in no time at all). Each strain has something special to it, and skyrim's was the vampire lord.

So male Orcs running around in wedding dresses isn't immersion breaking? Interesting lol

Edit: to add something positive, I actually really like the second idea of deconning furniture items for mats.

    As I mentioned elsewhere:
The most reasonable thing we can expect...
...is for them to sell "invisible armor" motiv pages in the crown store.

I mean, the suits in charge certainly won't send a code-jockey to spend their paid time programming the hide function for all outfit slots without wanting to see some profit, right?

But selling people the option... that would appeal to their shriveled greedy little hearts, right? :p;)

As for the lore... well, I already said it. "Invisible Armor". Enchanting your sturdy armor with an invisibility spell, to lure your foe into a false sense of security...
I mean, look at this guy:
    Sai_Sahan.png
...and that is the best we can hope for, I reckon. Since they are uinlikely to offer the option for free while spending their pair programmers time to tweak the code for it... but selling it to people, well... ;)

    That's a good one! Seconded!
    Annaztien wrote: »

Nah. This one makes sense, both for the IC and the OoC.
Fluff-wise, you cannot expect a fence to have unlimited funds to buy your stolen stuff, or to be able to operate without restrictions under the watchful eye of the guard to unload what you bring them...
Mechanics-wise, it should not be too much of a shortcut; neither for gaining money, nor for instantly rising legerdemain by fencing tons of trash items...
    Annaztien wrote: »
    4. Longer hair options.
Will come in time, likely in crown crates tho...
    Annaztien wrote: »

Will come in time, the crown store being what it is.

...there is where this goes down.
There is no "fly" in ESO, and there never can be. Floating at best. Also, the "vampire lord" thing is an entirely different strain of vampirism... also the transformation is a werewolf thing... so, nope.
    ...
What vampired -should- get is... some "Masquerade" skill to pass as human just like Count Ravenwatch does at our first meeting (say a toggleable skill that lowers their "appearent" vampirism by one stage, so at well-fed stage one they would look mortal...), and then the city guard coming after them if they let their monster show in town (with a detection chance dependent on vampirism stage, say, 20% at stage 1, 40% at 2, 80% at 3 and auto at stage 4...).
And a skill that allows them to "charm" civilian NPCs to feed from without them calling the guard (witnesses of course still would). And some alchemical provess to store feedings in "blood vials". And maybe even an option to feed from willing PCs.
...and while we're at it... I would also love to see vampires have a vastly reduced swimming speed, to make them wanna avoid "running water", and maybe being barred from using food buffs yet getting vampire-only drink buff recipes involving blood in their preperation; all for "classic cliché" reasons... ;)

    1. Ugh. No thank you. I understand why people want it, but.... just ugh. I don't want to see naked people in a game where armor is not only expected, it's sometimes required. Less covered clothing? Sure - like Whisperweft and such. For times where armor's not needed.....

    2. Oh yes! Great idea!

    3. I don't have any need for this. But it wouldn't upset anyone's apple cart I guess.

    4. Yes. Except.... consider how bad the clipping would be....

    5. Yes. But NO MORE FLAPPYS.

    6. See @TheShadowScout - the post just above.

I'm loving all the feedback. Definitely makes me rethink a few things.

I'm surprised people seem to be against the hide armor slots. I would like to be able to hide individual pieces. Like bulky pauldrons and gauntlets without losing said armor. And I know what people are going to say "wear a costume!" but I happen to like the style of armor I wear.

And I totally forgot about the vampire lord being a different bloodline all together then the ones we have. It's been a while since I last played skyrim and sorry to say I forgot the lore. I still think it'd be a great dlc though. And when I say "fly" I mean levitate or glide lol not up soaring through the sky.

I'll have to check out all the suggested links above, thank you. 😁

I like all the ideas except for #1. I'd LOVE if they had a "hide shoulders" option, but I wouldn't want people to be able to hide EVERYTHING. It would mean there would be a bunch of people constantly running around naked 24/7, which would be super annoying.
If they want to run around naked, then they don't deserve to be protected by armor.

I kinda agree with that. And am on record doing so many, many times.

Sadly... we already have "Bather Towel" costumes so the point is moot, yes?

@Abigail last I checked ESO its rated 18M and somehow...when I take off my armors I still have that bra and panties glued to my character...seriously now...let a man/woman be free if they want to run naked in the moonlight!

    1. No but I do want the ability to hide the shoulder things, like the helmet. That's why I wear costumes, most are too ugly and bulky for my style. I play magic characters or sneaky stam ones and I hate the look of those shoulders (idr what they are called).
    2. Not bad, but otherwise indifferent since I hardly get furniture, and the ones I do I end up using.
    3. Can't you do this already with a passive? Otherwise, no. With the limit it stops people from just going around and cashing in. I stole 150 items in a day trying to find something for that damn crow in cwc and it took me 2 days to sell/launder the items. Inventory was stacked for a day, but that was my issue.
    4. More hair option = crown store item, so again I'm kinda indifferent. My male characters all have short hair, and my female ones have medium-longish hair. Not again more options but again it won't be included by default.
    5. I do sort of like the idea of those pets, but flying pets are a pain. I have some pixie thing I got from a crate and the flying around while trying to re-colour my costume annoyed me, so I never use flying pets anymore.
    6. Someone explained above why this won't work.

To be fair they are not really naked. Honestly I would rather see characters running around showing off their tattoos than see a fat orc in a wedding dress. The tattoos is the main reason I think we should be able to hide armor. Some players spend a good amount of time when creating their characters on chooses body art. They should be able to show that art.

Re the longer hair. You explicitly want longer FLOWING locks, but realistically, you'll get a semi-rigid helmet, or something that's fixed to the neck and upper spine. The few ponytails and such do that, and that's as long as I'd want with the hair rigged to the body skeleton.

    However - MORE HAIR CHOICES!!!!

    That's what I said, isn't it?
The argument was valid before the costumes, and I kinda still would wish they'd split all the costumes into "combat costumes" like armors and such, and "civilian costumes" that go "pop" when you take damage, just like disguises... or maybe make a function that sort costumed by armor "weight" and reduce your armor protection when you wear them to the costumes maximum (so a "thief leather" costume would reduce you to medium armor protection even when wearing heavy, and a "bather towel" would reduce you to "no armor")... but alas, I gotta accept that they are not likely to spend the effort coding that since it nets them no profits, so I too will grind my teeth on this and just enjoy the game as we have it.

And as I keep saying, there is a fluff-worthy explaination for all of this... if you say that all those costumes are in fact illusion disguises (remember that one infiltration quest in Orsinium?) then it all works out fine as is, immersion-wise.

But following that reasoning it would be entirely possible to enchant armor with transparency spells to make it "see-through" so all those who like can show off their tatoos or manly chest hair while still enjoying full armor protection, right?
And so ZOS could totally do that, make an "invisible armor" motiv and either sell it like those weapon packs, or more likely put the games in crown crates sometime...

Then people will be able to make barefoot bretons and naked nords and clotheless catpeople and whatever... ;)
