I am SO loving the E-mails I get from crafting Hirelings.

Abnab and Ezdab aren’t brothers, they are one person with a split personality. :o Just a theory

I'm early in the mails still, but I've yet to figure out Abnab's race.

    Pacrooti is certainly Kahjit.

    Madam Firilanya is Altmer

    Valinka Stormheaver is Nord

But what race is Abnab? Does anyone know, or is it made clear in later mails?

Edit: Changed to say "mail" instead of "E-mail" LOL. Good point.

Pacrooti is the crate-opener :D Click on the the crate link in your top bar to see him in person. Kind of fun to read his real personality :) I think his mails have been my favorites so far.

I love the hireling mails! They're one of my favorite things about the game.

    Oh yeah! Cool. Ha!

Good to see Pacrooti is doing other things as well to make a living.

Ah Pacrooti. Somtimes I wish I could reply to my hirelings, especially Pacrooti my FFF, Funny Furry Friend. (Furry Friend Forever?)

Or crate-seller. Or crate-scammer. But yes, the first time I realized he's the guy you change stuff you don't want from free crates into gems, I had such a giggle! I like his mails best of all too.

That's Pacrooti for you. He's such the jokester (scammer). You gotta be careful with that one.

"When Pacrooti wants to, he can make himself very hidden. But he does so through dint of cunning and tremendous flexibility. The Moons know what Pacrooti has done to hide from the town guards. But what do mages care for hard work and sweating? Nothing! With a word they accomplish the same thing! Now Pacrooti must pickpocket some more components."

So... I'm getting back in to ESO again. Well trying to get into it again I should say. Certain annoyances always seem to push me away.

At any rate, I just started for the first time doing the crafting hirelings, and I want to say that the BEST part about these, in addition to the crafting mats, are the E-mail narratives you get along with the materials. I hope they go on for quite some time. I can't imagine they are different E-mails forever.

But yeah, great work on those!

Pacrooti the original Woodworking Hireling had all the best emails! <3

My favorite comment is "Zukki is no bigot, but he thinks Argonians are the most pernicious race of odious vermin that the Divines ever suffered to crawl upon the face of Nirn. But to their great credit, at least they aren't Nords."

Also really like, "Here is your shipment. Today in the city, Pacrooti tried molasses for the first time. Surprisingly tasty and sweet. This one thinks he may try some other parts of the mole."
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

"Zukki recently noticed that some Argonians are easily irritated and inclined to resent it if you poke them with a stick. He also discovered that you can find out which ones by poking them with a stick."

    Also, passed this one:
"Today the group passed a group of fat mercenaries, huffing and puffing their way down the road. They claimed to be "separatists." This one thinks they should try separating themselves from their sweetrolls."

u could actually find NPCs related to the hirelings' story.
FYI. one Redguard girl related to Pacrooti's story (or not, can't remember) is located in Alik'r desert outlaw refuge.

If you mean "the Eyeful", she's in the story for the second woodworker hireling -- Margog the Hammer.

Also: Narsis Dren, from Valinka's emails became an actual quest giver. Several characters from Veesk-Olan's stories are also in the game in Skyrim cities; I think the alchemist appears briefly in a quest as well.

Anyhow, I'm huge fan of hireling emails overall. But some of the ones in the third tranche bothered me, because the stories end with no resolution whatsoever. I'm thinking of enchanting -- Velothril Sisters -- and clothing -- Granny Gravous.

My overall favorite is Melina Cassel, because she both had a story AND was often funny.

Hireling emails are collected at https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Hirelings

I wish they explained or gave an ending to all the stories.. instead of just switching and leaving with with someone half as smart + funny... :(

I have been so disappointed when they started replacing my hirelings one by one. And eventually, Pacrooti's turn came, and I couldn't handle that, I stopped reading these letters.

    You shouldn't have stopped.

Well, some of them didn't really have stories; they just adapted Woody Allen jokes. (I'm looking at you, Mr. Gavonne.)

Totally love them. Nowadays, I speed through the mails (Pretty sure I've red them all at one point...) But the stories are a blast. Makes you realize how much effort they put into making this game feel real and connected...and fun :)
