Mad Tinkerer is interesting and helpful with the proc of the fabricant that knocks down enemies, I used it once back a year ago and liked it, gives you high spell damage. The stamina set I haven't tried, but am looking forward to getting a full set so I can use it sometime, it is the unfathomable darkness set. I like sets that give you an extra perk like these ones, especially for damage.

Unfathomable Darkness does a lot of damage. Obviously not optimal but probably top 5 for most stam builds.

Livewire used to be good on Nightblade sap tanks but they killed them again last patch.

Unfathomable darkness is good, you can also do things like use 3 pcs bonus then run parts of other sets to build some strange stat based build.

Don’t forget double the usual amount of complaint threads in the forums ... because players can’t finish the dailies due to:

    (a) Absolutely zero crafting nodes available because they’ve been scoured by other players.

    (b) No daedric incursions mobs to complete the Wraith-of-Crows daily ... because they’ve all been leveled to the ground by 50k+ DPS before you get in a light attack.

    (c) All-around player rudeness to finish their daily faster than the next player ...

This is really a problem. But i dont care for the items, so i will pick up the easiest-to-finish daily, grab the event tickets and leave the zone for the rest of the day.

mad tinkerer and unfathomable darkness are both "fun" sets to use...

the crows look really cool, and the fabricant is hysterical when it bowls through npcs or players and knocks them in to the air...

There should be double drops in AS as well and some asylum weapons are quite cool. Getting perfect versions though might be a pain for most players :/

Worth just picking up the crow court daily. Just pre farm and loot low level junk (carapace, hides and elemental essences Etc) they are easy grind spots and not frequented, build yourself a stack of 33 of each and pre-steal some stacks of toys noble items and crafter items from npcsand you don't need to worry about mobs or spawns for event tickets.

The CWC dailies are some of the worst ones, from a multiplayer perspective. Indeed, the daedric incursions are a pain to do on a regular day, and in the cwc event they will be an absolute nightmare, since the respawn time is so slow, and since players will pop ults on every spawn point constantly.
The Imperfect one isn't much better, all the plaques you have to pick up are not personally instanced, so you'll have to fight every Tom, Dik and Harry for every plaque spawn as well.

The delve daily isn't much better, all the ones in the Halls of Regulations require you to kill Factotums for the quest drops, which are already being mass eradicated by everyone else.
The Shadow Cleft dailies are at least ok, and you don't have to fight every other player for quest drops or object.

But then there's the "gather crafting resource nodes" daily, which will be next to impossible to do during the event, since every resource node will be vacuumed up as soon as it respawns.

Personally, I'll try and get the Crow daily for trash items, or the Shadow Cleft delve daily, and do it once for my event tickets. The other dailies are going to be a massive PITA to do, and not worth the time.

My mag sorc uses Mad Tinkerer. It's fun, especially when you're fighting a boss with lots of ads. He also uses Apostle motif for most of his outfit.

As others have already said, you can expect problems with over-population during the event. Competing for resource nodes not just with people doing the supply quests but also with pro farmers. Competing for mob kills in the Wraith of Crows WB quest. Competing for factotum kills in the halls of fabrication. Competing for plaques in the Imperfect WB quest. I see a lot of frustration occurring there.

I plan on doing crow dailies for the events tickets. I already have a coffer full of crow daily stuff. Apart from that I am only planning to do the two boss kills, once only, on each of my characters that hasn't got that achievement yet. That is all.

I have large supplies of cheap ornate items (duh) and the trash drops. And I have two crow-enabled characters. But the thieving-related crow items are a pain if you don't have them already sitting around from Thieves Guild activities.

Uh -- I think the crow gives any one character the same quest if you drop and ask for another, but might give a different one to somebody else. So grouping should be a reasonable workaround. Is that correct? I haven't really tested it very carefully.

Seems like a really well thought out idea to run an event around completing dailies in an area with the worst designed dailies in the game from a grouping (most stuff doesn't share) or crowding (trying to get tags / nodes) perspective.

My personal work around since I'm mostly just interested in the tickets is to have cleared the shadow cleft but not the halls of regulation on a character or two. That way I should be able to get just the non competing delve daily.

Which is why focusing the delve daily which has instanced objectives is the way to go. Or the crow daily. Which I have not yet unlocked on any character.

THIS is why I dont even bother with the WB dailies on this DLC, though I do run the other 2 ones for motifs and the 'do 30 of' achievements. If it's prime time, you find yourself competing with other players for the few low respawning objectives. If it's quiet, you find yourself having to solo the thing because there's literally no one else around. I did that once. Decided it was a waste of time and effort seeing as there aren't even any achievements connected to those dailies. Kill the WB once for the clear and be done with them.

Unlock the crow quests and their is no competition. Only do the delve quest that takes you to the shadow cleft there is no competition there either. To unlock the delve quests you have to do the quest for the particular delve so only unlock the shadow cleft and you will get it every day don't unlock the other delve as it is a pain in the rear to do as a daily

To be clear -- a couple of folks are suggesting that one clear exactly 1 of the 2 Clockwork City delves, namely the Shadow Cleft, which is the one toward the west, because that leads to getting a reasonably doable daily quest in that delve every day.

    Thanks!

pretty much same here, except after the daily tickets (2 per day!) i'll also do WB's (quest sharing is our friend) on multiple alts in order to clear them and their quests...

in fact, as far as picking up the easiest to finish dailies, I already have enuf of my alts sitting on the glitter & gleam to cover almost the entire event, with ornate armor stored up, basically ready to turn in...

also, unfortunately, i've already checked other zones, and the dailies that require the special mats from regular crafting nodes, must be done in CwC because the special mats only drop in CwC, and what's even worse, they're marked with quest pointers, so (a) above? yeah, it'll be nuts, "n-v-t-s" nuts...

question, since they've adjusted the event ticket drops to be in alignment with the other dailies resets at 1am EST, has anybody verified yet with ZOS that the first tickets should be available tomorrow at 10am EST at the start of the event, and then available again 15 hours later when the dailies & tickets reset? of course after that, it would be every 24 hours on the resets, but I'm curious about the first day/night...

For anyone who hasn't already done much of Clockwork City (or who has one or more alts who haven't done much of it), you can actually ensure that you only get delve dailies for The Shadow Cleft.

The delve dailies in CWC unlock when you have completed the one-time delve quest for each delve. If you complete the delve quest for The Shadow Cleft, but do not complete the delve quest for Halls of Regulation, then you'll only get daily quests for The Shadow Cleft. That way you'll only be doing the dailies where you don't have to worry about any competition from other players (it also ensures that the coffers you receive are the Crow-Touched ones, if that matters to you).

As far as the actual topic of the thread goes... Mad Tinkerer and Unfathomable Darkness are both decent DPS sets (for magicka & stamina respectively). Not top tier, but decent, and they have fun effects.

The only thing from CWC with any "real" value is the precursor targeting dummy.

Its a low hp dummy but it has its uses. Once you unlock the quest, you can collect parts from around the world, then turn them in for the dummy.

    Wow.

I've only ever had the patience to unlock the crow quests on two characters, and one -- my thief -- only did it last weekend.

That said, the Clockwork City quest line gives 7 skill points in all, so playing through it has rewards -- including a few boss drops :) -- other than just the crow unlock.

its all crap but good that we ill have twice as much to decon during the event. whats great is the harvesting nodes will be double so farmers can really stock up... get your heavy armor on to fight off the other farmers though cause the first day or 2 its gonna be packed.. sad though how dimly lit the zone is, I avoid it normally because its depressing and haven't finished much in it at all.
