Can we please have a "hide tabard" option?

I (and many others) would like to be able to represent our guilds, without having an ugly, low-res tabard obscuring the outfits we've put so much thought and gold into!

It's a long-requested QoL feature that surprisingly still hasn't been added. it would be quite easy to integrate into the outfit system or the gameplay options menu and would make a lot of people happy.

Please consider this, ZOS!

    The costumes hide it. You can still see your guild name but not the tabard. :)

    Edit : ErMurazor, is right that the outfit doesn't hide it.

    It also affects guilds that have multifaction characters. Would be nice to rep our guild without having to cover up a stark white (low-res) tabard with a costume.

    Outfit does not hide the tabard. Try it yourself.

    I would love to display my guild tag and my outfit at the same time.

    Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

    I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
    I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
    I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

    I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

    I want a "Hide Slot" option for EVERY SLOT...
    I want to run around with a character with nothing but chest, gloves, and boots..

    Hiding a Tabard would be great too. My guild tried to require me to wear one for Events... They tried..

    Most of my characters have a color theme that i go with and the tabard of my guild would hide where i put alot of work and thoughts in.
    I mean i would probably wear it when the outfit under the tabard wouldnt turn into a black blob of texture. It looks really hideous.
    Still wear the tabard with the characters where i use crown store customs but that isn't optimal...

    This would actually work just as well.

    There's already a section for nameplates in the game menu's options, so it would be natural to integrate this feature therein.

    Would also avoid the slippery slope of people asking for every slot to be hide-able.

    If you enable character tag in the game settings and you wear the tabard, you can see the <guild name> of others players, like on this screenshot. It's a requirements of many guilds (mine included), it make easier to find your mate on the battlefield.

    Because some guilds have great names but arsey tabard colours mauve, lilac and orange. Green purple and bronze. YELLOW. BLUE. etc etc

    Me neither, it's not as if characters were naked under the pants, anyway.
    I also don't get the point of full body markings when it's very impractical to show them.

    As for the tabards, displaying a guild name should definitely be an option, independently of wearing the tabard

    People want their guild names to appear above their heads, which is what using the guild tabard does.

    However, the actual tabards are fugly, and hide your outfit/armour.

    You can cover it with a costume, but most of those are fugly too.

    However people still want their guild name showing.

    A hide tabard option would sort that.
