How would you discribe your Ideal ESO quest?

I’m curious, I really want to know!

I’ll start…
My ideal quest would contain the following events:
1. Dressing up fancy to go into a huge party or ball undercover for an Assassination with the Lovely Naryu.
2. Getting captured and getting all my inventory items removed and I have to earn them back through completing the quest.(Similar to the Markarth prison quest in Skyrim)
3. Getting my Ass Saved ( preferably by Naryu ;P )for once instead of always Saving other peoples Asses.

Those are mine. Now, tell me what your ideal quest would have??

Lol one small favour from Runescape would always be funny, I also like Desert treasure but they're so many in that game to even count.

I want to have a glorious Old Skool Runescape hat drop party with Raz and my eso people! Then I want us all to strip off our armour, jump over the the fence and laugh merrially as the the mighty Wilderness sweat lords destroy us all only to realize, we have no loot at all for their troubles.

Ideal quest:
1. difficulty and nuances depends on previous character actions, and also on checks to his parameters
2. good writing that makes sense to both young and adult
3. unexpected twists
4. quest pace changes during it's progression - something classical like fast dynamic assault, then some distance of walk in great scenery, then some kind of defence against overwhelming enemy, then timed escape against impossible odds
5. music and voicing up-to-snuff

For me kinda ideal quest is "Suicide mission" from ME2

My main requirement would be that if the quest involved any trespass or stealing then there would be an alternative way of progressing. I hate getting part-way through a quest (or festival event) with my lawful good Templar only to find that he has to abandon it - and I'm not even a serious role-player!

That leads to a broader point. I'd love quests to have alternative choices generally with different outcomes and rewards. The odd one hints at that but doesn't really achieve it.

Raz is always welcome in any of my quests, especially with my Khajiit as this one can then engage with that one

For me it’s a better and longer main story involving Molag Bal, something where my character lives in Coldharbour and gets involved with being beaten like the Soul-Shriven and try to escape (without the prophets help) and possibly have a punishment if you get caught, and the punishment only gets worse the more times the character gets caught trying to escape. If the character successfully escapes then there’s an overworld hunt to bring them back, kind of like bounty hunters or a DB assassin finding you in Skyrim. There’s many eyes and ears in Coldharbour, so why not?

Maybe even an ending where you join/side with a Daedric Prince instead of saving the world (again).

An naked and afraid quest would be fun, remember the one in fallout 3 there you became an slave and lost all your gear.
And that would been an nice arena too, you has the option to do previous stage again for more gear.

I enjoy quests with a main story arc and supporting side quests. I very much enjoy the main quest and I do it with every new toon I roll.

I don’t know what it is with me, but I love stories where the character everybody cares for, which is most likely your character, goes through a horrendous experience like, torture, slavery, almost dying, etc... and manages to escape (because you’re the hero of tamriel and you are that awesome) or get your ass rescued for once instead of always doing the rescuing. It adds the very much needed feeling of vulnerability to the story, which is usually gone by the time you’re max level and Soloing most of the group dungeons and world bosses as you feel invincible and can respawn when you die anyway from your soul shriven characteristics.

And also Naryu Fans where are you?! We need Naryu to rescue our asses one day😂😂

Quest should take at least 6-8 hours to complete.
Should span multiple zones.
Immersive story with multiple consequential dialog choices.
Should grant 1-2 skill points and enough XP for 2 CP.
Should have multiple solo instances.
Should require multiple player skills (stealth, stealing, damage).
Should reward substantial amount of gold.
Should reward apex gear in best trait.

I'd really love secondary options for completion, especially in regards to trespassing, pickpocketing, theft, etc like Tandor said. But also just in general how quests are handled.

Regarding the Haunted Grounds Morrowind quest:

My character chose to let Farwen live, but after meeting back in Gnisis and hearing that she lied (implying that Galgalah had a stronger control of her than expected), I would have liked the option to either keep her secret or tell Theyo the truth.

I'd also like more consequences for actions, real ones that actually affect my world and further quests. Not to say the writing is bad now, but I don't really feel the burning urge to go through the quests multiple times to see other variances. I will eventually on my characters but the choices we do get feel more like flavor text rather than actual consequences.

An endless horde mode with vMA difficulty and rewards starting at purple quality, quickly scaling up to gold as more waves are completed.

I'm honestly surprised that the home turf of the game's main antagonist hasn't been given a true end-game arena.

IMO, they should base an entire DLC around her.

The one that makes me the next High King of the Daggerfall Covenant.
Or something along those lines. I always enjoy fighting or doing missions for or with the Kings and Queens or the Leader of an Alliance.
When Emeric Had me go to Rivenspire that was fun, and easy to navigate, and then it domino'd into Alik'r, then to Bangkori,
I think I messed it up tho because I wanted my character's Story to begin in Wayrest. I missed the Glenumbra story Arc.

Any quest Where I get to lay siege to a city, storm a Castle... Oooh to do that at Alinor, Summerset.

My ideal quest is literally what "A Question of Succession" is, if you've never done this quest i would highly recommend it if you have an orc character and wrothgar you can literally become a orc cheiftan and have your own orc clan. There is no quest like this that im aware of and its amazing.

I've enjoyed most quests to varying degrees with two features that always ruin it for me:

1) Running back and forth unnecessarily. Traveling A to B isn't bad, and even back to A, but when it's A>B>A>B or something, it gets old - especially when it's a super small distance or super long distance. Limit the number of total ports to two or three.

2) Persuade/Intimidate. For starters, mages aren't any better at persuasion and lots of people can intimidate. Secondly, if I'm not part of those guilds then that bars off options and the solution of joining the guilds only for those options is silly. Including them is fine occasionally, but it should never be the difference between life and death or block a whole section of quest. Use them as shortcuts so we can also take the long way 'round.

a) real choice consequences (like, for example, you'll meet a character involved in the quest once it's complete in DIFFERENT zones so that you don't merely have a "end quest summary" but you can actually see the evolution of their situation. And, who know, intervene or not depending on how terrible that situation is x)

b) I'd absolutely love a quest where you pick a daedric prince loyalty.
