Not sure if this is even classed as a bug or spelling mistake or what. Or perhaps it's totally in character of Hoary Durotzel.

    It's a common turn-of-phrase that I've heard for a long time, generally "A X is a X is a X" with "X" being replaced by a single thing, although occasionally it's mixed up as "A X is a Y is a Z", *shrug.*

    I would understand if it said "A staff is a staff" but just looks kinda odd having it down 3 times. Perhaps it's just me then.

    As a side note. Is there any other relative place I could have made this post? I couldn't seem to find a more suitable place to make this discussion.

    Yes, I really enjoy the amount of effort that is put into the lore.

    If you find something wrong, just do a /bug in game. You wont' receive any acknowledgement. Just give the book's name and the error.

    To OP, this is a very old convention, shakespeare even used it (and that's nearly as old as English gets)

    Okay, with Chaucer you have a point, he lived two hundred and fiftyish years before Shakespeare, and wrote the first true English books, but most of the Literature after him was just translations of stuff going on abroad. There was some genuine english literature written, but most of it has either been rewritten or lost. Which Is why I said Shakespeare is NEARLY as old as english gets.

    As for Beowulf, that was a Saxon tale written in Anglo-Saxon not English, it was later translated, but it was written in a different language and some parts are badly phrased because of this.

    the game is riddled with "spelling mistakes".
    one moment they're using the english "arse" the rest of the time it's all americanisms.. ize instead of ise etc etc, is kinda frustrating knowing that for those that english is not the first language think that they're reading english spellings.
    does not help them if they're still learning english.
    seems a bit lazy to not have it regionalised.
    and sadly being english i'll be in the minority with this opinion.
    beowulf was written in old english, oddly if you see old english it looks scandinavian l0l
