Physical Imperial Collector's Edition - Please help me

Like many of you I purchased this through Amazon and do not have the game in my hands. I just want to play, and no longer care about the statue or the other things, so long as I have: the horse, the ring, convert to imperial style, and any race-faction.

Please tell me

1) Will canceling my order at amazon.com adversely affect me in anyway?
2) If I proceed with #1, can I order digital edition at the eso store?
3) What will happen to my account, now that the game has launched and I don't have it?

Any other pertinent info please post in this thread. I have tried googling, read every page in these forums, reddit, twitter, nothing answers this.

    Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding:

    1) Yes, if you activated the Early Access code from Amazon on your account it is possible that switching the edition WILL cause you to lose all your progress and effectively set up a new account.

    2) You can, but you will not be able to use the any race-any faction benefit because that was a benefit of the pre-order.

    3) It will sit in limbo until you load a valid game code on it.

    My understanding would be:
    1) Cancelling your order at Amazon may result in losing access to the Explorer's Pack, which includes "Play any race in any Alliance". From what I see the digital edition no longer includes the Explorer's Pack, although the physical Imperial Edition does include an Explorer's Pack code, along with the Imperial Edition code and game activation code.
    2) You can order the digital edition from the ESO store at any time, either before or after cancelling your order at Amazon.
    3) Your account will be unplayable until you redeem a game activation code and select a subscription plan.

    Might be best to contact ESO Customer Support and check with them to get definitive answers direct from the people who should know the correct answers to your questions.

    I called Amazon to complain.

    I was offered the following explanation
    "Because of the shipping method I selected, the game was scheduled to ship out on tue and arrive wed-sat".

    I pointed out the game launched on Friday, and that it should have shipped out at least on Launch Date, if not earlier.

    I received a shipping upgrade to overnight, so now I'll simply be locked out of the game tonight, and all of Monday, likely, although I will be contacting ZOS tommorrow during my lunch break.

    I have yet to receive
    a) a response on the tickets I have open
    b) a response on this thread from ZOS
    c) a call from ZOS.

    ZOS, I would like my issue addressed. Amazon did what they could, now it's your turn to fix this mess.
