Initially they only had one for PC, but then they realized that people playing from the other side of the world had really bad latency so they made another cluster in the EU. They followed trough with consoles. It's not gonna happen.

The EU megaserver existed from launch, it was just moved to Frankfurt, Germany after launch.

They can add more campaigns however the queue systems are common and dungeon and BG finder tend to break under heavy load like events. Most of the someone has refused the response tend to be the finder who messes up.Imagine the cyro queue unless they increase it...

Yes, and they have been unable to fix cyrodil for years. Dungeon finder will break down all weekends.I'd love a merged EU and NA megaserver but with regionally and transparently sharded dungeon, trial, housing, battlegrounds and solo delve instances. PvP campaigns could be explicitly regionally sharded much like the weekly, monthly and no CP campaigns are. Would be a massive infrastructure overhaul to implement however.SammyFable wrote: »No thanks. Playing with a 200 ping on the pts during testing phases is awful enough. More seperate megasevers would probably just split the already diminished player base further and cause less people to want to play.
I don't see how stuffing everyone into one server would fix performance issues when the two separate ones can't handle what they have now. Load-times and latency would just get worse, wouldn't they?

I personally don't think it's possible. Some characters share names of server by different users. Like there's EU Tasear made by someone else and NA Tasear I own. Who gets to be the real Tasear
I would assume this is why swapping servers isn't a thing too.
CP is a crutch for people who can’t sustain and want to be "tanky" so they aren’t immediately punished for making mistakes.
I would definitely like to see this, but it most likely isn't going to happen.
But speaking of servers: Another thing I would like to see is the option for players to swap their characters/accounts to other servers (Xbox -> PC, etc). Heck, I would even be willing to pay a hefty fee for that.

The problem is all of the paid unlocks on the account. Not the actual character. The platform providers (especially Sony) hate that which is why they don't want to allow cross play. They don't want you to buy something on PC and transfer to PS4 because they'd lose their 15% cut.
Its possible, MMO with many single instance servers like WOW merge servers pretty often, one would have to change name.I personally don't think it's possible.
