New doc release and everything seems completely dead,I remember clockwork city being so crowded after that release I waited a week before going back lol,summerset still crowded but not as bad,now with murkmire release most guilds I am in are down to 19 out of 499 players (today)and there is no one in sight.

RDR2 just came out (last week?), NMS got an update with new content, and people might just be plain fed up with the constant over excessive nerf hammer....

All this is pure speculation.

Fed up with the game. Don't even care about the free dlc reward (yet i still lurk the forums) Got a ps4 and rdr2. I guess you joined eso in it's end cycle. Prepare to play an empty game in a year once AoC hits the stores.

Murkmire is kinda meh DLC. ESO like every MMO game have ups and downs.

Yeah same as previous 5 or 6 pretendants to "ESO killer" role failed to do that and when ESO gained numbers those games are now lurking in the shadows before being closed. Ashes of Creation will fail to take ESO position on market since ESO is too strong currently to be killed of by one title without strong franchise behind it especially that Ashes of Creation doesnt even look that good when it comes to gameplay.

Eso always has ups and downs. It was same last year after halloween . People buy bunch of games because they were on discounts so they play them instead of eso, but at mid november - december, loads of people come back and population spikes back up.

Murkmire didnt change the things I hate about ESO (Animationcanceling / 80% useless Skills / Ridculously easy Overlandcontent / no really good Healersets outside of Trials, no Dualspecc, Underperforming Racials .....), so no reason to return at the moment.

Plus, RDR2 is just too good

Not happy with the game, ive barely been logging on just to get pissed and log out. Also been checing out wow as a result. Its ok.

Soon as i get the money rdr2 and black ops 4 are calling my name. well see how things go in update 21

Haha, i did the same. Checked out WoW but i didn't get far. I got as afar as stranglethorn and then i got a few quests:

Kill 10 young tigers
kill 10 adult tigers
Kill the boss tiger (which i already did during the young quest)
kill 10 young panthers
kill 10 adult panthers
kill the boss panther
kill 10 raptors
kill 10 something raports
Hang yourself

And i immediatly uninstalled the game.

I am pretty sure the main story is good. But the quests make me puke.

Anyway, there is no game i currently look forward to except Cyberpunk. RDR2 looks great but i don't want to play on PS4. I wanted to try Fallout76 but i read cheating will be so easy in that game and lockpick cheats already exist so i skip that one,

I cant say im surprised about. Im giving 76 a hard pass. I checked out black ops 4 with my friends with couch coop and honestly its one of the better cods lately. Im excited to sink some hours into zombies. I heard kingdom come deliverance has seen steady improvement since its launch and its probably cheap used, might check out that. But at least right now RDR2 is what im focused on when the bills are paid lol

while i think eso is doing pretty good i do see that there are some things that drive players away.

exploitable combat system
very poor role and skill distribution
terribly designed racial system
untransparent guild system
30 minute group finder wait times for 90% of players
dlc dungeon content made for 5% of the players when they have a trials system for that.

the nerfs dont really bother me but i can see how it would bother some. The worst is that nobody cares about those 30 wait minute timers. That will crush this game. Nobody waits that long anymore.

then you come here and its like a cult. L2P, roll a tank, go play a different game..

in my case its RDR2, right now i just log in to grab the daily reward, do some crafting writs and now that murkmire is out i will do the two murkmire dailies and thats it, back to rdr2

More than that...looks like another Horde civil war. Already had one in MoP with Garrosh Hellscream. Story and character development? Not really...we have seen this before, and Sylvanas has been going down this road since the beginning. It's completely opposite of development. Sylvanas hasn't changed and the story (horde side) is a rehash with a different leader.

This is why I quit in Legion. WoW is awful.

If ZOS continue to make cakewalk-blindfolded-braindead-ezpz overland DLC, it will fail again. And again.

Deal with it. Story is ok, but story without at least some challenge just a BS.

A lot of people might be waiting for the daily log in reward and don't buy the DLC on the first day. Personally I am trying to fix all my characters first before I head into Murkmire.

still, se has a back story from what ive heard (new to wow) going from the defender of her people to pawn of the lick king to taking him town to queen of the undead and now warchief or the horde. There have been 0 things like that.

eso, make zone 1 like the queen, make zone 2 like the queen.

1 want to see more repeating characters with eso and more complex plots then, oh deadric princes are causing trouble, lets save the world..... again.....
