Whats the point of customer support

When you only comment on the posts you want and don't respond to emails. I get it, you're swamped because your game is *** up at launch. But when I can play it I genuinely love the game, and want to play it as much as possible. This isn't a customer support forum, this is angry users posting and other users commenting waiting for devs to tell them ANYTHING.

Agreed and most of the replies seem rather scripted, like they are copying it from some document somewhere. Where is that level of professionalism, personal touch and urgency that makes folks feel confident about this product?

You have to take into consideration that its Sunday. A lot of companies don't really have a full staff on Sundays. It's not an excuse but we are going to have to sit through this situation until tomorrow. Now if by tomorrow we don't get better assistance then let the raging begin!

This x1,000. This is LAUNCH weekend, why the hell would they NOT be fully staffed. So they're either incompetent this way, or incompetent in that they did not extend Early Access to a "middle-of-next-week" date that actually makes SENSE.

What do you gain by criticizing a CSR complaint?

I bought the game. I preordered it. I participated in beta. When I found out I couldn't use my debit card because I already took my money for this week out, I didn't complain, I went to the store and bought a prepaid visa like I was instructed. I plan on playing this game for months, I don't mind paying ahead for another month I know I will play. But that prepaid visa(and many others) are just not working and this is ridiculous. Luckily I can still play right now, but I'm waiting the entire time to get kicked off or for the inevitable time where it refuses to let me log in.

Their email replies are scripted nonsense that has no relevance to the issues. Stupid customer service.

Well... at least they have "officially" acknowledged the issue, right?

Well, judging by all the other games i have played, the only goal of customer support is to shut people up and to spread despair.

I have not seen yet even a single case where contacting customer support would actually help anyone. Except sometimes they do bother to fix something that they have messed up them self, but if it is your mistake, then you are on your own.

I will use these gifs to spread cheer to a pissed off playerbase until I get me refund and can vanish into the night.

I realize everyone is frustrated. I would be too. But a couple points to make. First,it is launch weekend. They likely ARE 100% staffed. It's not enough...there are thousands of players, more than ever before, hitting bugs nobody else has had, issues never seen before (since subscriptions didn't exist before just now). They cannot keep up. If you are getting a "form email" it's likely because a hundred, a thousand other players are having identical issues right now. I've contacted customer service a dozen times during beta and early release, and got individualized responses, sometimes useful, sometimes not.

You have every right to be frustrated and angry. But I can tell you they want these issues fixed and each csr I have dealt with has been more than motivated to help me enjoy the game. I know nobody wants to hear it, and I know I'd be batshit irritated if this were happening to me, but remember they will help you, and I don't doubt these issues will be fixed soon.

That said, we now return to your regularly scheduled venting.

Nah, sorry, I work in a customer service position and I'd be fired if I made someone wait more than two days for an answer. So I have to disagree. But I appreciate that you said your opinion in a rational and reasonable way. :)
