You've met a literal God on the battlefield.
Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

I have to agree, the thought of reporting someone because their virtual character crouched down over you a couple of times is dumbfounding. I mean the whole teabagging thing is stupid really but this is like a 2nd level on top of stupid.

Lol people quoting the TOS over teabagging. Teabagging might be technically reportable under the TOS, but I highly doubt anyone has ever been banned or punished for teabagging in the history of ESO. If it was followed by a slew of insults + harassment then maybe, but never for teabagging alone. It's rampant in pvp and not changing anytime soon.

As you said, 'technically' it is reportable. 'Undesired behaviour', 'embarrass', 'cause discomfort or disrupt another customer's experience'.
I have no idea whether someone has been punished for that or not, but it is a reportable, that's a fact. (damn Ji-Lar, I hate you for this phrase).

t-bagging a reportable offence? Since when?

Since the absolutely only point of tea-bagging is humiliating. Saying anything otherwise is either playing dumb or being dumb. And well... Humiliating can be seen as either bully/harassment or offensive behavior because it is clearly sexually related, since the tea bag term come from an analogy with a ***. So yeah... Simulating rubbing your ball sack in someone's face without consent can be reasonably seen as sexual harassment. And that's 100% reportable.

Edit for preemptive clarification... I'm not kidding. These are very serious solid reasons why a report on tea-bagging can and will be taken seriously by any respectable game dev.

    Wot? 🤦‍♂️

It's against the Terms of Service, same as most offensive behavior.

One would believe it is againt the ToS, but it obviously is not. There is a toxic noob from PC EU that is uploading videos to his youtube channel where he is tbagging people - and he is still playing.

People have reported this guy several times.. the answer you get in the confirmation mail is that you can put him on the ignore list. Every now and then you get homophobic hate whipsers aswell which I screenshotted and added to the player report, but as I said... he is still playing and tbagging/hate whispering.

    Heh.

I am a 49 yr old (stuck at 49 forever mind you) female and I am a refugee here in Tamriel from the Halo game series. T-bagging someone after a kill is a time-worn tradition. The original development team for the Halo series even created animations for the corpse that only happened IF it was being t-bagged.

The OP was simply triple dipped and the other player had moved on. It was PvP Battlegrounds, the closest thing to the Halo play and game on ESO. It is/was a culture I got used to, and had a blast hosting custom games. As long as there was no verbal bashing or "your mom" messages, T-bag and move on was simply part of the game. I thought nothing of it, or found it funny, especially when they would t-bag a little too long, and having respawned, put a bullet through their virtual helmet because they forgot I knew the last place my Spartan had been dropped.

I now find it amusing that some people get their crusty, old-fashioned granny panties in a bunch over their corpse being briefly "defiled" after all the rather mature content and implied gross atrocities being committed in-game lore. Especially gross are the butt-cheeks of fallen flesh atronochs-eww!

As someone who played WoT for about 5 years too long, the only substitute for t-bagging is playing artillery. That makes everyone hot under the collar. Especially if you're damn good with it. Now as far as reporting someone for t-bagging, while i don't find the gesture itself amusing anyone who takes the time out of their day to report someone for such a trivial thing needs to re-evaluate their priorities. T-bagging has been around since online gaming and the couch function came into existence and it will most likely be here til the end of gaming. Just shake your head, ignore it and move on.

I'm curious how T-bagging is reportable, when ZoS added a literal homage to it via the Morrowind Collector's Edition with the "Teatime" emote. It involves your character drinking an imaginary cup of tea then dropping the imaginary used tea bag on the ground in front of them in mocking manner.

I sense double standards. Pay up or get shut up?

They are doing it to be hated by players, so it's an offense. Getting away with harassment, through circumventing the use of words, only works if everyone is a stupid bot. It doesn't mean all actions are offensive. Harassment requires direct intent. An intelligent judgement call is to be made.

Nah... It's different because there's no sexual connotation at all in the emote. No simulated ball sack rubbing in anyone's face, you see?

It's is a clear reference, but much much much much more classy. Like a Brit, showing full despise for you but still staying on the high ground, barely acknowledging you meant anything.

In the end, if enough people want harassment to exist in some form it will be allowed. So who knows what forms of harassment will be unacceptable or not from one year to the next. People apparently need to corner and *** off each other. hehe
