What are you most thankful of from ESO?

Prior to ESO, my main MMO "homes" since my first MMO in 1998 have been at various times EQ, EQ2 and LoTRO. Within a moment or two of starting ESO at PC launch I knew that it would become my new MMO home for many years. It has proved to be so, and it's for that above all else that I'm thankful.

Besides hours of entertainment the marginal battles in cyrodill between two armies that break formation with relatively little lag where individual input is more relevant. I'm not much into the complete routes or PvD or the mount simulator-->heal ball--> negate-->bomb 4 second battles.

PVP hatemail from players I've killed. Or even when they finally kill me then feel it necessary to send me a message saying something rude.

Those are the moments that make it worth playing when you know you got under their skin from losing in a game.

I just don't get the hate tells. I guess ppl don't like to lose. When I get slaughtered I usually whisper something like "bro, you totally just pwned me. lol". Or if it's an especially satisfying fight (win or lose) I extended a friend request. But mostly, I just go about my business of having fun.

I guess you get all types in pee-vee-pee.

It is really hard to say what I am "most" thankful of from ESO, because there are a lot of things, which I am indeed grateful for:

    - meeting my "better half" :)
    - having more than hundreds of hours played (since Beta 2013), enjoyed the stories, exploration ("Oh a chest!")
    - meeting a real nice community, not only in the forums but also on events like ESO-Tavern, RL-Guild-Events

I am kind of addicted to that game, but on the other hand I am grateful that I don't "have to" do everything in the game. I like challenges, questions, exploring new zones, etc. but I also need time to do all this. So I also like the fact, that ESO is not forcing you to much to play.

What? lol, It's a freaking game people...

    No offense but,

I'm thankful for meaningful things, like my friends and family, winning the cosmic lottery of not being born in some 4th world crap-hole, having good health all my life.

If a silly game fosters feelings of gratitude, you might want to check your priorities, or at the very least, maybe that's a cue to go out and find a bit more meaning to the only life you will ever have.

    Just saying.

I found friends and love and meaning for life within/because of the game. Go be miserable and sad somewhere else and let us be happy with what makes us happy, please?

Don't talk trash about what people find meaningful and worthy of their passions. Here's some wise wise words we should all live our lives by: you do you.

Have a great freaking day, random person from the internet. You seem to have your life priorities set straight, go enjoy it like we do! :)

Not having to sub to ESO+ to actually play the game because ESO+ is pretty useless unless you really want a crafting bag lol (you can survive without one)

Ocean of lore. Beautiful Tamriel places I had never seen before. Culture experience - at last diverse and exciting! Sound - music and voiceover. Creatures and plants. Crown Store and Crates allowing me to have all that fancy costumes, mounts, pets and mementos. And a lot of exciting things which will come to the game - new zones, new lore, new mounts and costumes, new music and emotes!
I'm really grateful to ZOS for ESO.

Im thankful just for this game. I remember playing Skyrim thinking what if you could play elder scrolls with friends and then it became a reality. Sure its been bumpy at times but God I love this game. THANK YOU ZOS!

Probably the top thing I enjoy is just the environments. I don't think any other game has given me such a large and varied playground to simply wander around in. I really dig it, and am truly grateful that the vast majority of it can be enjoyed solo or with friends.

    And the music :)

Love receiving them and sometimes responding but I'll never initiate one. I just love that when they send hatemail they are basically admitting to total defeat unknowingly. The best is when they try to tell me how I'm trash but they're dead.

I don't know why I love it lol.

Just made it to Murkmire last night-- and oh, the music is incredible! And fitting. I've been suffering from massive writer's block on a story I've been working on for a year that involves a Mayan-ish society. Feeling new creative vibes :) Thanks, Zos!

Now if it'll just show up on Amazon, I'll be a super happy camper

That I can murder virtual creatures with a magic stick, and people invite me into filthy corrupt dank caves and relic buildings because they like to do the same.

I love how incredibly alt-friendly it is. I love trying all the different playable flavours. Having shared unlocks, shared bank, and shared guilds makes the game feels SO much more fluid to play. Been playing a lot of magplar lately? How about some stamblade for a while, or level a magknight? The alts not only still have access to my resources and guilds, they even benefit from end-game Champ Points (another nice feature - a reason to play after cap!)

I don't have to go through four loading screens to mail items to myself. I don't have to make an 'alt' guild bank to share resources. My characters aren't divided from faction just because I wanted different stories or to give my alts different backgrounds.

I also love how every character is built myself rather than a cookie-cutter as I choose class, role, and skills all separately. It makes the world so much more engaging to create an entire person in it.

It's particularly satisfying when they come back to settle the score and get owned again (with ensuing hate whispers). "Feel free to come back. I love easy AP." :D

As much as I've given up on this game it wasn't always that way.

I remember way back (when meteors were reflect-able with DK wings) we had massive battles and there was like legit beef with people from opposing alliances. Thanks to those days I made a name for myself when it came to battling Hulk n his group and even Glow and her group; Fun days indeed they were.

    how alt friendly it is.
account bank to swap gear and items between characters that is not soulbound, CP shared to all characters, one tamriel to explore with any level of alt, all levels can group together. and many more reasons
