Meeting my girlfriend and the other friends I've made through the game.

Edit: I also should add I am grateful for the game being here to help me through some hard times, as well as the amazing staff and opportunities they've given me. I might annoy the heck out of people on the forums sometimes but I love this community and am glad to be part of it.

    Amen!

ESO helped me through some of life’s challenges and its also where I met my partner & people that I can call friends for life. Thank you ZOS😊

I've aquired a lot of gaming friends on ESO. Some of which I play multiple games with. And I think finding people you enjoy spending time with makes the game worth it regardless of how the actual game itself is performing.

This probably sounds weird, but that clickable hairstyle pack. And the clickable costume system with costumes that look like clothes instead of ruffled loli awfulness. I love changing clothes/hair on the fly for once. I've only enjoyed playing dress-up in one other game: SWL.

I also love the housing decoration system and how easy it is to put things mostly where and how you want them. I haven't gotten around to it much yet, but I will. I <3 actual flexibility!

ESO helped me to get into TES lore. Neither Oblivion nor Skyrim did success with this approach.
Story telling is really great in this game (for one not familiar with the lore). Every quest gave me something new to know about this world, and almost every of those quests was very interesting and exciting.
I want to say ESO writers that they're doing really great job here. Many thanks.

Also, I want to say thanks to those who make zones. Architecture, plants, landscapes... Just great. And they're doing their job better with every new zone.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

Primarily the lore, but I also think the combat is better than the main series and the main series could take a bit of inspiration from it.

Yes, TES3's diceroll system did not age well in the slightest nor did Oblivion/Skyrim's monotonous sword-swinging. I love the games, but they ain't perfect. ESO isn't perfect, but at least there is more to combat than just sword-swinging.
Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

For everything that is given me for free, we just need to pay for base game and we get at least 10x more cool items and features than any other MMO. It's beyond my understanding, but I'm obviously grateful, why ZOS is such a generous company :).

This game came out during a really bad time for me. So it was a nice escape.
4 years later and I still enjoy it.
They also got me hook line & sinker for ESO+. The unlimited craft bag & extra bank space is a HUGE thing for me that I didn't realize I would love so much until I let my sub run out and had to manage my inventory again.
I wish I could find guilds like you all have found!
The one Guild I was in 2 years ago was the best but they left for a different game & it hasn't been the same for me since. Being a solo player is great for me most of the time, but I do miss people sometimes too.

I am glad my kids told me about this game when it 1st came out. They wanted me to interact with real people more instead of just NPC's in Skyrim lol

Content that releases at a decent pace.

Nobody know how sucky content releases are till you played TSW. 3 years before an actual new zone/dungeon /shiver.

What? lol, It's a freaking game people...

    No offense but,

I'm thankful for meaningful things, like my friends and family, winning the cosmic lottery of not being born in some 4th world crap-hole, having good health all my life.

If a silly game fosters feelings of gratitude, you might want to check your priorities, or at the very least, maybe that's a cue to go out and find a bit more meaning to the only life you will ever have.

    Just saying.
"Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.”

Man, you are a philosopher :). Even if it's just a game, you still can be grateful of many things. All depends of the approach :).

It's a game where you can meet friends and maybe even a loved one. Enjoying a universe which some people grew up with. I'd rather enjoy a game and be with friends instead of doing drugs with "friends" Not saying i've ever done drugs or ever want to its just a better and more ideal time to spend your free time with friends, doing trials and dungeons or roaming cyrodil being unstoppable killing machines

You can be thankful for a wide variety of things on all different levels and not dimish being thankful for the 'big things'.
I'm thankful for the family I have left (...most of them...) but I'm also thankful when it's not pouring down rain and I have to make my long trek to the hospital where I work (or, alternatively, thankful I wasn't a moron and left my umbrella in my locker).

I got my best friends out of this game. Most of them stopped playing but we still meet and drink every now and then. That's for your friend analysis.

Then, the game has a load of stories, competitions, opportunities that you can join and enjoy. A slightly practical and worthy tip: Most of the IRL people have no idea about a teamwork compared to gaming people :)

Well. A lot of things really. I've had a lot of fun for pretty much this entire time. Lovely content, engaging characters, interesting zones. I've found tons of people that are really great humans, even if I don't really get to play with them lol. I got past a huge barrier for me with the whole anxiety business and went out to Cyro and have basically been there since (over a year now outside of doing writs and new content). Still have a wall with group dungeons etc but that one is on hold until I can play at a desk again instead of from bed with my stupid jacked up back. And way back in the early days I was in a pretty dark place, having this game to exit into at night after the kids were in bed helped save me.

While I may complain about Zenimax Online Studios I also praise them when deserved. What I am grateful that they gave me an Elder Scrolls game I can play single player if I show choose to and play alone. While I didn't understand it at first, I am finally after 4 years figuring it out and it's quite a good game now.

I am grateful ZOS never gave up on the game and improved it to where I really like and enjoy the game.

I am grateful once I got proper head set that what I never noticed before is actually in the game. The little things. The sounds. The ambiance. How the animals interact with the environment and do little things like sneeze. Or maybe it's just our pets that sneeze. I haven't seen this in other games.

I am grateful I can play with a controller. I am grateful I can play on my platform of choice.

With all the warts and all I find ESO a really good game. Thank you Zenimax for taking me out of the real world to clear my head. Yes there has been bumps and bruises to speak, but over all it's a great game. I am not perfect. We are not perfect. ESO is not perfect, but as a family I feel on the forums, makes the experience even better and that what makes the experience perfect.
Not my quote but I love this saying

PVP hatemail from players I've killed. Or even when they finally kill me then feel it necessary to send me a message saying something rude.

Those are the moments that make it worth playing when you know you got under their skin from losing in a game.
