Mac Client Full Screen Bug

Since the patch update, I can’t bring my screen to “Full screen”, I can only maximize it which still has the menu bar at the top and keeps it a window in the desktop, not the Full Screen as it’s own desktop thing.

Can you please fix? Having the header for the window and the menu bar at the top is a big loss to immersion compared to full screen, not to mention a constant eye sore.

    I agree, ESO on Mac non-fullscreen is rather horrifying. I fixed mine by ESC->Settings->Display Mode->Fullscreen. Phew. ;)

    haha,.. didn't realize that :D

    While it's still not like before, where i can switch to different desktops while playing ESO or do it with the mouse,... can't really complain since it does go full screen....

    Certainly. What did I say that did not make sense and/or how far did you get? Where did you get stuck in the chain of instructions
    ESC->Settings->Display Mode->Fullscreen?That "ESC" is the same "ESC" you hit to log off or quit on Mac ESO.

    wouldn't you get that with "Windowed (Fullscreen)"?

    Tried that, It doesn't work for me. It's still in window mode.

    Moreover, the game always crash on start in my MacBook Pro 2018 (hexacore i7). In order to be able to run it, I have to disable two cores with cpusetter.

    Same issue

    Used to be able to do full screen windows, put it into full screen with the window options, then have multiple desktops (a mac thing) to be able to use 3 fingers to switch windows to view discord. Now I can not do that.

    My options are full screen, but not be able to change desktops to see discord. If i want to access discord or another program I would either have to exit eso, or exit full screen. Which does not sound so bad, but it is annoying when I used to be able to use quick gestures to get to another plain desktop and then go back to full screen.

    The other option would be never using full screen.

    If that doesn't make sense Im happy to clarify. But is annoying now. Basically now I cant use full screen if I want to use discord chat, open a webpage or more.

    @mandricus - you might instead try editing your ESO UserSettings.txt file so this setting is "4":

    SET MaxCoresToUse.4 "4"

    There have been some problems in the past like you report that this worked around, and it may be more tolerable than affecting your whole system.

    TY, wasn't aware of that. A lot better than decreasing the whole system performance :)

    Any suggestion for the full screen issue? Still unable to set the game in full screen mode after last incremental patch (4.2.5). Even if i set it trough esc -> settings -> full screen, it still remains in windowed mode.

    I want the Full Screen back :neutral:

    This is super annoying now that we are not able to switch desktops, view menu bar, even see our native volume slider!!!

    Can we please revert back to ESO supporting Mac's full screen mode?

    New player here, really miss my desktop swapping under MacOS. 18 months later and its still not fixed. Has the Mac community found a workaround by chance? Thanks.
