Lockpicking Not Working!! (Yes, I've read all tutorials/instructions)

The lockpicking function is not working on my computer. This was happening during beta as well. I hover the lockpick over a sliding mechanism until it highlights. I then left click. Nothing happens. Right click. Nothing happens.
For what it's worth, I'm using an apple magic mouse
Please help, I would like treasures. It's equally as sad every time I'm forced to skip over a treasure chest.

    It should be noted that my mouse isn't having any other issues with functionality in ESO.

    Works for me, though admittedly my mouse is just a regular old mouse, not "magic".

    Running on OS X version 10.9.2

    Damn... I don't have a mac around anymore I could test that on. Anyone else running it on a mac with that particular mouse and having it work/not work?

    Found a solution/workaround, when you play full-screen lock picking fails.
    When you switch to windowed-mode.. it suddenly works (pressing the right mouse button)

    I will try that, I have another problem, (Windows 7 PC) the lockpick resets itsetf suddenly even if I keep the button pressed.

    The lockpicking is a bit stupid. You have to click before it starts to heavily shake. It would be nice if for example if the locks variate aand have also for example mind riddles to be solved within a certain time.

    I had some lag issues with lockpicking in one play session. I could only get the pick to drop on a tumbler like 0-3 times during the timer duration, maybe you are getting one of those spikes.

    I wouldn't really say that. The lockpicking is WAY better than in Skyrim. Although I do agree a little variety in the types of locks wouldn't hurt.

    OP do you have another cheap mouse you could try? I remember back when I had a mac that the drivers for the magic mouse were different than a regular mouse, and had some issues in some games. Now my experience with this was back in '04 and it'd be nice to think that such driver issues were fixed, but maybe not.
