If it is Skyrim, please let them do it in 2 zones this time. I'm sick of them downscaling areas just to fit into 1 chapter zone

Tes 6 is likely to take place in hammerfell tho

Also, TES6 isn't releasing until 2022 at the earliest. Possibly even further out. I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that it's set in Hammerfell, though. I mean, I'm not hostile to the idea, I just, literally, do not know what you're basing that one off of.

Bethesda released a teaser at this year's E3.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCNkwkXHCpI

Fans have picked it apart, under the assumption that everything seen in the teaser would be lore-accurate - direction of the sun, terrain, the town by the crater, etc. If so, that would make the waters and mountains seen the Iliac Bay and edge of the Dragontail Mountains... so Hammerfell. That would make the town by the crater Azra’s Crossing and if the camera would just swivel a bit more to the right as the water becomes visible, High Rock would be seen in the distance, and more specifically Wayrest. Certainly this all just speculation, but its the best that can be done with the tiny amount of info given so far on it.

For more, here's a great article that illustrates all of the connections, including the three peninsulas seen jutting out which can all be seen on common maps of Tamriel.

Please, no. Keep anime cat girls out of it. Khajiits come in male and female. Keep the anime rubbish to Asian MMO's please. I'd actually like to see lots of different Khajiit types around the place.

Big, big YES to Elsweyr though!

If you look, you will find references in dialogs to doing things in all different parts of Tamriel. The NPCs get around, as do we. The writers insert that sort of stuff in there as a way to make the NPCs seem more real by giving them a life outside of the part that we see. In many games, including ESO, the one and only purpose of the NPC is to stand there waiting for us. They have no life, no depth, and no purpose outside of that. Writing in that they are off to do something else is a basic way to add the perception of depth to a character that is intended to be there when we are. When they present this at the end of a major quest line, it is a means of closure. It is a way to say "we did this wonderful thing, and now it is time to part ways and get on with life". It does not necessarily mean, "and you will be joining me in the next chapter".

Also consider this: Given how the devs know we datamine and pick things apart, we have to expect trolling by them on the subject of "what's next". It is harmless fun for them, hours of entertainment for us. Like a cat with a ball of yarn. We are the cat.

Speaking of trolling, BGS is doing this with TES 6...

@Ertosi ... the analysis of the video that Bethesda released seems to assume that we are looking at reliable footage, perhaps from in the game itself. I don't believe that this is the case. Other than location and plot, I don't expect that development of the world itself has started, and if it has, I don't expect that they have an in-game zone laid out, yet. This means that there is no in-game footage to show. The video was constructed from the Skyrim or Fallout 4 engine to show some Elder Scrollsy stuff. I doubt any TES 6 assets, like the game map, were used in the production of that video. This means that when we finally do get our hands on TES 6, it will probably not look like that video. Similar, maybe, but not like that.

Of course, never before has BGS released a teaser video for a game that isn't in really in serious production, so we have no historical reference as to what work they have done at this point. Bethesda is definitely venturing into uncharted territories with these three back-to-back releases.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the analysis of the video is often supported by the premise of a "reliable narrator", and that is pretty much defined as anything that supports the supposition being put forward. Take the peninsulas that someone talks about, the birds, the sun direction and time of day. Very clever, but cherry picked to support a supposition.

Could they be right? Sure. The purpose of these videos is to allow us to guess, while they sit back and watch the fans spin. Maybe they are saying in the studio, "it didn't take them long to figure it out." They may also be chuckling because the fans found more in the video than they put into it, and that led them in the wrong direction.

Remember that the fan base seemed absolutely sure, not two years ago, that TES 6 was in Argonia. Maybe it still is.

There is a quest about helping an Argonian healer that lived in Elsweyr for some time. Not a hint, but still.

But all the new stories leaves an impression that we will see more of a Cyro \ Ayleid stuff too, not to mention all the nords and bosmeri in their native clothing through the territory.

Some other hints we talked about, elsewhere
    : 3

    - the noble khajiit female NPC with a unique and detailed (golden) model of robe - not sold in the Crown Store, nor used for any story purpose yet
    - the name of the "moon" moths that inhabits Summerset is strongly khajiit-themed - then it's the only species that seems out of place (without a story explanation like the welwa)
    - the Imga Leech Queen of Meirvale mentioned in the book of the collector box.

I really and truly hope it'll be Elsweyr and that they make the main Daedric adversary Mehrunes Dagon, or Merrunz the eternally-young god of cat-like form as he's known to the Khajiit. Our heroes would be facing their toughest challenge ever as they square off with an all-powerful kitten and its master plan to make Nirn its plaything.

More lore about the Dro-m'Athra and Dar-m'Athra would be nice outside the Maw of Lorkhaj. I indeed would like a Khajiiti themed DLC/Chapter, possibly on the outskirts uninfected by the Knahaten blight which has been plaguing the land. Certainly there would at least be quartantine efforts keeping the flu from spreading all throughout the land...

A Redguard DLC would also be nice. I want more on Ansei and Ra Gada/Yokudan culture...

Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

If it is indeed Elsweyr, then I'm less concerned with the northern Anaquina portion and more concerned with the southern Pellitine jungles and forests portion. The northern half are described by the southern half as uncouth barbarians, while the northern half describes the southern as decadent and depraved. Now that certainly sounds very intriguing to me, considering that my two khajiit characters are from the Pellitinian south.

Also I'm very interested in seeing how the zone goes from a dry, arid desert to a wet and humid jungle.

The amount of Elsweyr name drops in Murkmire, along with the few possibly vague references to Elsweyr in it like the one you showed in your screenshots, is becoming too much to be a coincidence. It may not have Summerset or Vvardenfell plastered all over like Dark Brotherhood or Clockwork City did for those chapters, but it's certainly a significant amount of hints to Elsweyr, so we can be certain that there is some Elsweyr content coming one way or another. Whether that's as a Dungeon DLC, zone DLC, or a full Chapter, is still questionable, but it's safe to say that we'll get something for Elsweyr within the next year.

I'm excited for the datamining results when the Q1 Update comes around. :)

Two Dominion zones, back to back, would be a little unusual. If they're talking about Sunbathing and warm sands, my first thought is Sunforge. Also, remember, the province is "Elsweyr," not "elsewhere." If ZOS is continuing their clockwise rotation through the map, Sunforge was part of the 2014 QuakeCon video, and it would follow after Summerset that we'd be heading back to some of the last open spots on the Covenant map.

When was there ever a rule that there had to be a rotation for alliance zones.

I also very much hope that the next chapter will be set in Elsweyr. And then after that, western Skyrim. I am still a bit annoyed that Falkreath is a dungeon because that was one of my favorite towns in TESV. But I'll be happy if we at least get Markarth and Solitude. Maybe Whiterun.

Actually I'd be pretty happy with just about anything other than more Hammerfell zones. The desert is seriously my least favorite part of this game and I feel like we already have enough content there.

    useable skooma.

Thiiiisss. Actually, my bf and I were just having a discussion the other night about how it's lame that Skooma isn't a craftable recipe lol... Elswyer would be the perfect setting to add it.

Big, big YES to Elsweyr though!

I'm fairly confident the anime catgirl Khajiit have been retconned from the series as they haven't appeared in any TES game since Daggerfall. And they only appeared in Arena and Daggerfall because it was cheaper to re-use the existing humanoid (elf/human) sprites than to animate new ones.

Well it obviously wouldn't look like an anime character. It would have the ESO style and look like it fits in the world. Not sure why you people think it would be an anime-style race when no other ESO race looks anime.

With that said, though, I don't care one way or the other about whether they introduce a new species of Khajiit. I'd rather have Maormer or some other race, personally. They should have given us the option to use a Naga race along with Murkmire, and didn't.

I'll know Elsweyr is coming when one of my characters walks into a northern tavern, probably in Eastmarch and there is M'aiq. He will not be standing but sitting in a chair in front of the fireplace. When I talk to him he will say something like "M'aiq is cold and tired of all this snow. Well looking at releases and Wrothgar being the first technically even though it was a DLC that cost as much and the size of a Chapter then it would seem that the next one would or should fall into Daggerfall area and could be Hammerfell or another area and that all this stuff on this post and the upcoming crates could point to a Dro'Mathra dungeon DLC. But like this post is pure speculation at this point untill they announce the next DLC which could be and most likely will be a dungeon DLC with a Chapter to follow at the start of June. Also the next DLC will be out in February and sometime in the middle of it by the release of this last dlc it should be 2/11/2019 cause the 18th is right in the middle and the 29th is to far into the month and would make the next Chapter release in late June. And would give a perfect amount of time for the next PTS to start on 1/7/2019 but even that is speculation or is it.

Vvardenfell is in the Ebonheart area. Summerset is in the Altmeri area. So the next chapter should be in the Daggerfall area. No idea what it could be tho.
