[ZOS] Steam accounts can't connect to server

Looks like steam users can't connect to server (personally on EU), steam only or...?

    Same here, 2 Accounts, one with, one without Steam, Steam Account says "Connection timed Out".
    Non Steam-Account can login.

    Oh for f... I don't know if it's my logic that's wrong but I'd assume if you sell a game on a particular platform you should be able to make it work.

    Please tell me it's not going to be a repeat of last time…

    what is dont get, if it is a steam issue. how come that NA server's trought steam login work, but EU clearly does not ?
    i cant wrap my head arround that one tbh!

    Not exactly a steam issue, it's EU login servers of ESO Steam, from what I understood. Seem like they keep Steam and regular login servers seperate

    It's a case of ESO being sold on Steam when they clearly can't provide the same quality of service - now Steam if full of rewievs that warn you but if you, like me, bought it before all the mess went down in summer, you had no way of knowing unless you checked old threads on forum before you bought the game.

    Did you forget that Steam takes a percentage of that sale? See my previous comment above.

    Tried the manual check for updates and even the repair option, but nope. Only NA its working

    It doesn't matter if it does. For all I know it could be taking all the sales - they decided to sell ESO there therefore they should be able to make it work.

    The only way to unlink from steam is to find a second hand ESO CD/DVD install. Once you install that you should be able to update and login to existing account via the game command as well as the launcher. I havn''t seen a copy for sale recently so I can't be certain.

    Okay so I’m not defending ZOS. I don’t know if that fact was lost on you or if you’re being facitious. So I’ll respond by saying you can ..... in one hand and want in another and see which fills faster. Reference that when wondering why your Steam purchase doesn’t work.

    But it appears a ZOS rep responded to the thread, so maybe you all will get resolution. Do not hold breath if previous track record regarding Steam logins is any indicator.
