So i'm a little upset.
Logged on to my sorc to see how things would play out now that the update is live.
My pets are dying in every single fight in a public dungeon now.
Every single fight, I have to resummon them.
What happened?

✭I just ran though a public dungeon, normal dungeon, and normal Maelstrom Arena. Since I didn't have access to my 3rd bar from Overload, I dropped Empowered Ward and moved Power Surge there. I run double pets, so if things got dicey I would use the Twilight's heal. I think I used it about 5 times total in all of that content. With enough crit damage from all the dots, Power Surge does enough to keep you healed up unless you let yourself get beat on by a bunch of baddies while not attacking. I moved all my points out of Bastion and put them in other defensive stars too.

I mean..my pets go from being a non-issue to an annoyance every single encounter.
Objectively making the class more annoying, just in general.

✭There are 65 pages in the Sorc feedback thread on PTS. ZoS knows they have killed pet sorc for hard, solo PvE content. They don't care.
The players have spoken, the class reps have spoken, ZoS gutted mag sorcs anyway. Pet sorcs in solo were hit even worse. Re-spec and play on, roll a new toon, vote with your sub dollars, find a new game, take a break, or do a bit of each. Maybe in a year the class will get some love again.
I enjoyed many months with my solo pet sorc, may he Rest in Peace.10 -

Been complaining about the Pet situation since i tested my Pet Sorc on the PTS weeks ago.
Time to switch to another character, gonna park my Pet Sorc for a while ...

Welcome to the world of your stamsorc bretheren, where every other passive is useless and you can comfortably ignore 2/3 of all your class skills.

Devs stated that VMA was specifically excluded from pet immunity. Not sure why, but they want it that way. Problem seems to be that pets used to have 90% resistance everywhere. Even without shields, they were very sturdy. But even 90% was not enough for the insane damage pumped out in most endgame PvE content. That was bumped up to 100% in instanced group PvE areas, but seems to have been reduced everywhere else. I am not sure if that is a bug or on purpose. Making pets squishier in solo content seems like a really strange decision.4 -
