Game Code Grace period

I ordered my box product from Gamestop and I received a delivery confirmation but it looks like it won't be delivered until Monday or Tuesday. With the current grace period which goes until Sunday, not sure how a day helps us on the weekend since deliveries are usually not over weekends, my game will lapse. Is it possible to get an extension on this grace period to at least Monday?

I'm not sure how they thought an extension to Sunday helps when deliveries only happen on Business days.

    Any updates on this yet?

Nope, it's very disappointing. I won't be able to receive my CE until M or Tu, neither. I think ZoS is too blind to know that the delivery service is not available on Sunday. Hope they can realize that tomorrow and extend the grace period.

They've announced how this will work.

And this is why I spent the extra money for 1 day delivery.

@Remorseless - can you provide links to the announcement(s) you are alluding to? I have not seen it explained anywhere that actually solved/addressed the issue of the insufficient grace period and how we are supposed to enter a code before Sunday that will not be delivered until Mon/Tues.

Why is it so difficult for people to grasp the real issue here?

The grace period? It's been talked about numerous times. They will handle this, I've been with *** where they pay every 30th of month. It will be taken care of of. You will get your played time, because they're obligated to do that.

@Remorseless - it has been talked about, yes. Resolved, no. Are you thinking we're talking about sub time? We're not. We're talking about the game launching on a Friday and ZOS assuming that everyone will have launch day delivery - which is a poor assumption. Therefore, the time we have to enter the code should be extended into next week.

When a grace period is given in order to enter a code, the duration of the grace period should be active until the code can actually be entered. Otherwise, why the hell is there even a grace period in the first place?

Early Access was from March 30th - April 3rd, with the "grace period" ending on Sunday at 8 am EDT. Which means Sunday - Tuesday, we get locked out with no option to redeem the game code. Seriously, why shouldn't they be accommodating toward their paying customers and extend the grace period to at least Tuesday so there is no lapse? That's what customer service is all about, is it not? Lol.

Any update on this yet? My game access will run out tomorrow morning and since I will not get my box until Monday I will not have access. Anyone have a link to where ZOS talks about this or is there someone from ZOS who can comment on this? I know I am not the only one who has this issue, there are quite a few in my guild alone.
    Thanks

People assume that Early Release was extended to help those with games that were late in dispatching, however, it was extended due to the amount of issues people had during the early access period.

If your order was dispatched late or takes a few days to deliver, then that is an issue to discuss with the retailer or as someone else has mentioned, paid for 1 day delivery.

It is starting to annoy me that people are hating ZOS for an issue completely out of their control

You have it backwards. It was extended for those with retail store problems. They announced this before early access started, because places like Amazon weren't offering release date shipping.

However, the thing people don't understand is that, just because it was extended for a few days to help this problem, doesn't mean it has to be extended indefinitely until every single person gets their game.

Originally it was announced as a grace period for retail buyers, but this week they announced they were extending early access. If that was truly the case, then there should be 48 hours from Sunday (when early access ends) to still be able to play and input code when our games arrive. Locking us out on a Sunday when there is no way to get a delivery is just stupid.

Early access was extended, from Friday to Sunday. As I said, it doesn't have to be extended indefinitely just because there are some people who haven't gotten it yet. And I'm one of those people that haven't gotten it yet. However, my problem was a shipping delay with FedEx. Regardless, I will do other things tomorrow, get the game Monday, and continue enjoying it.

With the flood of posts about this problem (my fiancé being one with it), it would not hurt Zenimax to go a bit further and give a few more days. My fiancé sent everything to prove he pre-ordered on Feb. 22 and how Amazon lied. For people that can prove they have the pre-order and it is not the fault of the customer.

They have messed up so much even before launch this would go miles in actually showing they care. Amazon did Zenimax wrong along with their customers.

Picking Sunday showed lack of customer appreciation.

So the day has come with still no word from ZOS. I go to my account page and since I do not have a box code I do not even get the option to put in my credit card information to purchase a sub. So until I get my box I am locked out of the game. I know I am not the only one with this issue based on the raging I noticed on the forums but it would at least be nice if ZOS responded to this issue. I even put a in game request in a few days ago when i noticed this would happen with no response. I guess I will see everyone in a few days.

    I agree with you.

However, 48 hours, on a weekend no less, is not enough time to allow for retails box copies to arrive. At the very least it should have been extended through the end of the day on Sunday (11:59pm PDT) which would have covered just about everyone in the world who ordered a box edition.

Although like you, I will go do other things and not worry about it so much, but it is quite disappointing at all levels of the purchase chain.

It seems that the grace period has extended. My copy isn't arriving until Monday, but I am currently able to login and play.
