tahst cool for him but i dont want be a healer :( i want to be a strong damage dealer warden.

It can be done, I had a friend pull 36k with an ice build. its just you sacrifice a lot of damage to go full ice.

36k is em good ish but i have no idea how to build up a strong warden DD like that even if it is not just clear ice build but i would like to know all of that what to wear what weapons and so on. i want to make a strong magwarden and enev a second build for it an icewarden too with that 36k dps.

I know that , Iceheart monster set and Necropotance was used, with Elemental weapon being the spammable. and ice comet was one of the ultimates.

I have two wardens one on the NA server and one on the EU server.

The EU character is a Bosmer stamina Warden. Skill wise she is just following the stamina damage dealer build from the skills advisor. She is in her 40s not much experience there but definitely playable for overland content.

The NA character has to be hands down my favorite. Dark Elf magicka Warden. I followed the skills advisor for both the healing and magicka damage builds. My front bar is damage with inferno staff while my back bar is buffs and healing with restoration staff.

Gear wise, 5 piece necropotence, 5 piece julianos, 2 piece shadowrend

    Very easy rotation:
Betty netch, lotus blossom, shalks, blockade of fire, entropy, rotate between light attack & cliff racers, repeat skills as needed.
I do run out of magicka but that is only because I get caught up in attacking that I forget to re-buff and heavy attack. I slot Inner Light and Northern Storm (ultimate) on both bars for increased magicka.

I switch up the healing skills on the back bar depending upon content (or if I remember to do so). I can get more dps if I do not slot the healing but since I primarily solo, I sacrifice a little damage in order to self heal.

As far as CP distribution, I follow what Alcast suggests on his site for a PVE magicka warden. But I don't run to it each time I want to distribute. I'll assign points where I think I need them then every so often look it up and respec accordingly.

This is not a top end dps meta chasing build but it is a "get me through dungeons without anyone complaining" build. If nothing else, may give you some ideas on your own build set up.

    Both use crushing weapon.

Before summerset i was using snipe, which works, but is slower than crushing so you get less focus procs. Trying crushing, it's really really good for bow/bow builds.

Every bow/bow build starts with e-hail, caltrops, p-inject, light weight trap and crushing weapon as the core with ballista as the ultimate. I also like slotting acid-spray for trash pulls.
After that it's really just what buffs or dots the class has to prop it up. Stamsorc gets bound armaments. 11% light attack damage and 8% max stam and that's pretty much it.
Night blade gets relentless focus and leeching strikes which is huge.
I could see templars doing decently with power of the light and the new stam morph of rune focus.

Both templars and nightblades benefit from the crit passives from bows and the extra crit damage they get.

Only on the DK I can't see a way to make it work. Nothing in the stamdk toolkit fits with "range". Heavy attacks on bows suck. I just can't see a way to make it work.

I guess I'll have to get off my butt and level the Psijic skill line at least as far as crushing weapon. I've only done it all the way on 2 of my characters so far - both magicka - and been putting off the grind on the others :)

    What I don't understand is....

The CE of Morrowind came with an extra skin you can put on your bear...

Why haven't there been more skins, or even different pets?

Is it because so few people play warden so it is not beneficial to add other combat pets for warden?

I mean, even the normal pets where renamed to non-combat pets. So I would have expected combat pets in the clown store.

I have a S&B stamward with bow backbar. It's fun to play but not damage wise. 2-handed would be better. Also he is a WW.

You need to focus your question a bit more honestly.

What content are you wanting to participate in? This is key because all answers stem from here.

I just play PvE as if it was a single player game. A while ago and because I tried the "you must play this way" and I wasn't having fun with ESO. Now that I found the love and passion back for The Elder Scrolls and trying out ESO in a different way I am finding it so much more fun. So now I just play for fun, not what is best or most damage or how fast something needs to be killed.

Like a poster said before, neon lights, just didn't seem to fit with me in the Elder Scrolls univers. Now that I understand better from the comments here about what a warden is I am going to try it out again and ignore the "neon" part if I can.

So I am just playing for fun and see what spells, abilites are fun to cast. For example I lost my way in playing a sorcerer. I tried the builds or tips in order to do better. Trying that, it became unfun with the sorcerer. So when I came back to ESO I did a nightblade, didn't have fun, then tried a dragon knight. Like it. Tried a Templar, was ok but had lots of fun with dragon knight. Then tried a new sorcerer and played it differently and found the fun in sorcerer now. Just like casting some spells from afar and using a sword when up close. I don't care if it's not "optimal" but having fun playing since I am alone and not hurting anyone by doing so.

So I am just looking for what is fun. Like casting from afar, or jump closing can be fun sometimes, if not optimal. So what seems fun to do with what the warden offers.

Ahhh yes ok, so the 'neon' aspect of the skills is because they are basically using their nature magic to summon animals or to summon trees/ plants heal allies.

I have never been a fan of the teal & purple Warden color scheme myself. I would have much preferred the green and brown that some of the NPCs use for their wardenish skills.

    Argonian Ice Mage dps.

    Isn't that rather an outlier?

When the Warden was first announced, a lo5 of people were excited over the Winters Embrace tree. Many wanted to play as a Frost Caster, but then actually putting it into practice revealed your dps parses are gonna suffer using an Ice staff. But its not completely bad.

Wardens themselves are Nature Mages. Conjuring wildlife and the environment to attack and heal. MagWardens make good healers, StamWardens have insane burst damage. I just play a DD using nothing but frost damage cause i want to play the idea more so over the dps potential.

Thanks, that makes sense. I wish I had the real broadband to attempt the "outliers" - but I know only too well it's going to be "haha dead again".... I have always loved pure mages in other games. And I love TES unreservedly, even without the pure mages - I just key on the pet classes as I did in WoW and RIFT so that the pets can mitigate some of my ping.

The build i went with for the Ice Mage, 5pc Winterborn, 5pc Ysgramor's Birthright, and 2pc Iceheart. Winterborn you're gonna have to run Normal Maelstrom Arena multiple times for the body pieces, but the two sets both buff and deal Frost Damage, and while using an Ice Staff every single damage skill on my bars deal frost damage. In overland PvE the build is really good. Ice Blockade combined with the Warden Ice AoE immobilizes most and puts a 90% snare on the rest.

Not to mention ive actually won duels with this character. The thing that gets people though i think is Fetcher Infection. Not Frost damage i know but its a good DoT.

Off-topic, but magicka warden has one of the most, if not most difficult rotations in the game.

    - DoT timers do not line up
    - Must actively manage distance from target for optimal damage
    - Must sacrifice ability slot for destro skill on main hand bar

I love balanced characters in PvP. Glass cannons, 0 dmg unkillable tanks and full-time healers are not for me.

That's when my 2H/SnB stamina Warden shines. It's a very nice mix of tankiness, burst damage and healing. Suited for evverything but excels at nothing, that's how I imagine a balanced character.

Playing warden tank, DK tank was main, learned the warden inside out, never looked back at DK. It's more challenging to tank as warden, but it brings so much more to the table compared to DK. Very versatile class, but requires more practice to play it right, but I guess that goes for all tanks that aren't a DK, due to lacking that panic button ultimate. Tanking vBRF HM with 3DD, NP at all for warden tank ^^

I man a Warden PVP healer of the Breton variation. I enjoy it. It may not be everyone's favorite, but to each their own.

I know that you can choose any race, but I think that there are better classes choices for Dunmer. But whatever you want to play is your business.

I just don't get the class. It's a me problem. I am asking to see this class in a different light. I tried playing as one and I don't care for power gaming at all and only do PvE. Thing is, all I keep seeing is Mario everywhere with the mushrooms. This doesn't seem very Elder Scrollish if that makes any sense.

Was thinking of making a Dunmer Warden. Would this make sense? Thing is the mushrooms or flowers just takes it out for me. Please show me that this is lore friendly so I can accept it.

Also what are your builds. What are your power builds. What are your fun builds? Why do you love the Warden class? I keep reading why it's bad, and I don't care for that but just not finding the fun in the class. Want to find the fun so please help me understand.
Dunmer grow their buildings out of mushrooms, don't they? Don't Bosmer do something similar with wood?

Humans in our world have tamed and used animals for war since like forever. Not bears or cliff racers, but certainly dogs and horses and elephants and camels. For my High Elf stamina Warden, I like to imagine the pterodactyl he throws at people is a hawk. I'm a bit upset they force the Morrowind animals like Shalks, Cliff Racers, and ugly netches on everyone when more generic animals would be been better for the majority of the races!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, if you can't wrap your head around mushrooms and plants for healing... What do you think medicine (or anything) is made of? Kynareth provided them! Balms and pastes and ointments and concoctions and drafts and tonics and pills are all made from nature! Nature is healing!

I have a Bosmer stamden, although Dunmer could work well. He runs Battle Axe/Bow with the Eternal Guardian. He started as DW but every single stam character I have is DW so I switched him to BA. He and the bear go through trash mobs like a hot knife through butter: Subterranean Assault, Dizzying Swing, Reverse Slice. I know he's not optimised but he is fun.

My warden is a breton. She was born in Daggerfall and learned some basic magic as a child, but most of what she learned came from the Wyrd Sisters after she ran away from home. If you've played the DC storylines at all you'll have encountered them - they're groups of nature witches who live throughout High Rock and Skyrim. They worship the Ehlnofey (aka Earth Bones) and Y'ffre and sometimes Hircine.

She wasn't quite willing to commit to their way of life though, and wanted to travel more so she became a warden rather than a Wyress.

Basically lore-wise the important thing is that the wardens use nature magic, so it's more tied to Nirn and the Mundus than Magnus and Aetherius or the Aedra. It's possible for that to fit any race, but the exact details will vary.
