Thank you. So what I wasn't seeing was it was a nature based. Oh my how did I miss this. I feel foolish now. Oh well, at least I know now.
Bosmer was mentioned twice now. Why does it make sense? I was thinking either Bosmer or Dunmer. Maybe I will do both. On PC and the other on Xbox. What would be the benefits of Bosmer? What would be the benefits of Dunmer? See I don't know how to min and max or power build so that doesn't matter. Just want to try something new but want to see why others say so.
What skills are the most fun to use? What weapons do you use and why?

For starters, magden should be using staves (magicka oriented), not sword/bow (stamina oriented). All attributes should be in magicka - EOS is unkind to hybrids. Use mostly light armour and jewelry with magicka buffs but for increased survivability you can go heavy chest and medium waist (this pays off in the long term). Instead of relying on crafting writs use some of the experience scrolls that the game throws at you and spend some time in delves killing stuff and you'll be morphing before you know it. Delves also tend to have skyshards so you'll get those too.jainiadral wrote: »I'm trying to level my Khajiit magwarden right now and I've been having the same feeling-- just can't get the feel for it. I'm at level 29 with nothing even remotely close to morphing (mostly leveled via crafting writs), have tried the whole 1h/board setup, and have switched to the bow now. The sequence the class skills unlock in doesn't feel like it has a flow.
It's a weird blend of ground target skills, stuff that doesn't have enough range, no good snares, and nothing that deals with in-your-face melee either. The bear isn't a good tank either. It obliterates things it finally attacks in no time flat, but it usually likes to stand there staring at me instead of fightingI miss my clannfear and matriarch.
Right now, I'm using (sorry, bad at skill names):
Bear ultimate
Hail of arrows
healing mushrooms
cliff racer (before morph)
ice ring trap (before morph) which also doesn't seem to do anything
ice shield (doesn't do much)
I gave up on the shalks (take too long to spawn), the ice armor (didn't seem to do anything), and I haven't figured out what to do with the netch. Right now, I'm pre-loading the mushroom healing buff and the shield before I ice ring, then start hail of arrows. Things die fairly quickly, but I do a lot of kiting. I'm guessing from the advice here that I should switch to staff. I'm bored with staves after playing for six months with my magsorc.
I only solo overland content, so build esoterica doesn't really matter as much. Is there anything that will make my warden feel fun instead of clunky aside from using a staff?

Thank you all for helping me out. Too many to name. I am only level 6 right now, but it clicked. I have died a few times because 1) I forgot to allocate my magika or staminia. 2) not use to what does what yet. Now that I put all my points in magika for now, I haven't died so fast.
Also the flowers/mushrooms don't bother me anymore. Thank you for the explanations and reasonings everyone. Greatly appreciated.

What you have described is a stam character. You use a bow. Also you want the morph of the bear that does *physical* damage not magic damage. The reason why you aren’t seeing results is because you think you are a magic warden when you are playing like a stamina warden. If you start focusing on stamina and physical damage then your bow and bear will be better.
I know I struggled with making a stamina character because most of the skills in the game (outside of physical weapons) are magic only, with a few morphing to stamina. Also I thought it would be difficult to manage dodging, blocking, interrupting etc AND use stamina for my spells. It didn’t make sense to me. From previous games it makes sense to use magic for spells and save stamina for blocking etc. After trying it though, it’s not so bad as I thought.

I just use budding seeds on my tank to give team health buff I dont use other flower skills.
They are both super fun to play and warden tank is much more fun and I think even better than DK tank
