You can do trials with 15k DPS to be honest. I have even heard of vAA getting done. Right now min progression DPS is 25 for average groups, but many look for 30k DPS on average.

Well thats a problem with the community it self on the idea you have to have 30k+. Alot of end game groups I have seen are going as high as 50k which is over kill in many ways cause it might speed up things but players are giving up alot to make that happen. There is also the idea that tanks and healers have to play to certain degrees that remove alot of other playstyles and is what has hurt this game for to long. But this will never change do to that fact access to builds has and always leads to what many feel has to be played and again is a community problem not even the devs can fix.

It is not a problem with the community itself.
What Tasear has said is correct. I can see a group being able to clear vAA with 15k average DPS but it would be an extremely rough ride.
The reason there is no problem with the community is there are guilds for every play style and skill level. At each level guilds have different priorities and with that different requirements. There is something out there for everyone and many solid guilds are happy to help those that really want it and are willing to work for it.
But no, vMA weapons are not a requirement to do end game trials. Though having the vMA weapons does show one thing. It shows someone who can pay attention to mechanics. It also shows some dedication, though it is not really required. (Yes, I know some guilds probably require it, but doubt that is most.

If you consider vAA endgame then your standards are lower than many endgame players.... vAA is midgame... nHoF is probably harder than vAA

Vet trials are by definition endgame PVE content. Yes, you can do vAA half-asleep with one hand tied behind your back once you've become skilled enough to do something like vCR+3, but all vet trials are designed as endgame content and 99% of the playerbase is still working towards endgame. Please don't turn this into an epeen measuring thread.

Vet trials are by definition vet trials... they are not by definition end game.
Vet does not equal end game...
If you feel something like vet fungal grotto 1 is end game then you should do stand up comedy.

Disagree... vAA is an absolute joke, whereas many pre end game teams do struggle more with nHoF... this I have observed many times... and based on similiar experience lvls with either.
