Should try the conquest mission kill 40 players in Cyrodiil. If you're in a group its wacky as hell. Sometimes it doesn't count even.if you get the killing blow. It's just random and weird as f. These devs implement some weird ish.

Will probably try the same for this if I still have my Sload's. I know I still have that firestaff.
No...the problem is that people see their character as one role and are unwilling to switch just to gain a simple achievement lol...Shezzarrine wrote: »

Why should achievements be locked behind a style of play? Especially event achievements that are for everyone, including those who do not want to play as dps. And even if they are specced as Dps then there is no guarantee to get the killing blow on anything (especially with the midyear mayhem ones). These achievements need to be changed to get credit if you get loot at the very least and probably more than that.
It's not like this harms you in any way, or anybody. Just makes the game a bit more friendly to support roles, which (besides fast queue times) is very unfriendly to support roles. Like you said it's a simple achievement, changing your build to get game wide event achievement should not be required.

I just put DPS gear on my tank and give him a bow and just spam light attack and poison inject for that achieve. I don't switch his CP at all. I can run around and do quests and anything overland with him.
Yes the DPS isn't top notch but when that is needed, I switch to another character.
When he's needed as a tank, I put his tank gear on and poof, he's a tank.

So why do I have to have special armor sets to get achievements? This toon isn't CP'd and Skilled for TANKING. Also, killing blow isn't guaranteed. Why do I have to change everything, just to get an achievement? I have 20 armor sets for tanking - why can't I use those? I can kill things as a tank, but I have to be nowhere near anyone else to get killing blow.
So... why not just change the achievements to make it more friendly to support players, and not just DPS?

Because tanks are meant to take damage, not deal it...and if you want to deal damage then you make it so your character can deal damage?
Am I the one not understanding something here? Am I missing something painfully obvious to me?

Why don't you ask the "Dungeon Healer, Dungeon Damage Dealer, Dungeon Blocker" achievements and their Trials equivalents?
Dungeon Healer is easy to get for everyone since a lot of things count towards that achievement but should DPS get the Blocker Achievement because their tank blocked the damage and vice-versa for tanks?
In essence, if you want an achievement...you do the things necessary to get that achievement.

I do not have any of the kill achivements for PvP - especially Mideyear Mayhem. Sucks, because my main is where I collect achievements. Except PvP. *eyeroll*

In game achievements mean jack ish. Some random notifications that you did something with data pixels. Firmly reject such notions with your mind since they don't actually exist apart from your mind anyway.
