ZOS, would you PLEASE take another look at hip flaps and 1-handed weapons?

The clipping is terrible with most armor pieces. I understand full well that clipping is going to happen in all MMOs. It's a fact of life.
But the hip flaps make it SO much worse. There's a ton of really good looks that are completely ruined by the pieces hanging off the side of the characters' waists. The front and back parts aren't so bad, because they don't interfere with weapon placement and don't mess up a characters' silhouette.
But the side flaps are just OUT of CONTROL. Will there ever be an option to toggle these things off? Heck, I'd be willing to pay crowns to make this happen at an Outfit Station.
Just my two Septims on the matter. YMMV.

I would rather they just don't add them to new styles. I mean we do already have quite a few choices if that's your thing.
I always run a tier 1 Bosmer jack in all of my outfits. The stupid hip flaps are one of the biggest reasons for that. Sure the textures suck on the original motifs but they can look decent in the right colors.Edited by EvilAutoTech on October 4, 2018 9:03PM3 -

✭✭It happens when you mix and match armors. Match the right armors together and it doesn't happen. It's going to be possible to fix it unless you only want like 3 or 4 armor looks that all work together.0 -

Take the relatively new Psijic Order motif. No matter WHAT 1-handed weapon you equip, it clips with the TASSETS (hope you're paying attention @Starlock) in a very overt fashion. What's worse, is the Psijic swords and daggers (arguably designed for the motif) look the most out of place.
I think the easiest fix would be to allow an option to sheath 1-handed weapons across the character's back, sort of the way Geralt does in the Witcher games.Edited by milesrodneymcneely2_ESO on October 5, 2018 3:20AM6 -

Yeah, I'm sure there's an armor designer out there who spent a lot of time on them.... but just UGH.1 -

✭✭✭ZOS has a real obsession with the hip flaps nonsense, I mean seriously, huge metal hip flaps on ROBES? Totally ruins the outline of a character. Many of them float a huge distance from the hips too.

TheKingofSass✭✭✭✭Or just make it so that whenever you learn a chest style/motif, you get the option to pick chest with tassets, non-tasset. Just like how you can choose between robe or jerkin.

The front and back flaps are crappy too. I’ve wasted 20k in 2 minutes changing my DW swords looks back and forth from swords to daggers hoping for a good look lol. Geeze and no sheaths. Crappy.1 -

Perhaps they should just look at the code,and you know, remove hip/crotchflaps entirely.2 -

I'm a HUGE Psijic fan (seriously, I like them more than Jedi) so I was over the moon when we got a Psijic motif when Summerset went live.I really don’t like the tassets nor the front and back flaps. My outfits are limited to just a few tops that don’t have them. There are some really beautiful chest pieces that I would LOVE to use in and outfit but.....gigantic tassets so no.
But the tassets on the chest pieces just KILL the look for me, so I ended up using light Akaviri armor with a few low-level Redguard pieces to give me that warrior-mystic look that I was wanting from the Psijic motif.
I just ended up dying the armor to match my Psijic Examplar mount (Antique Silver, Enchanter Tangerine, and Indoril Blue). It looks REALLY good, and the tassets aren't clipping the heck out of my nifty Psijic maces.

✭✭Oh crap and the books/Scrolls on the fang lair chest RUINS the top. Fang Worm is somewhat better. BOTH should be like Worm Cult with unobtrusive things at the waist.

✭UPDATE: Okay, I just finished the main quest on my new main and I noticed something.
I'm duel wielding on this guy, and when you defeat Molag Bal, there's a moment where the Amulet of Kings' power wears off and Meridia sends you Dawnbreaker for the final blow.
Here's the kicker: when my toon was bisecting Molag Bal, my Psijic maces were CROSSED OVER MY BACK.
Maybe this is old news (and I was too slow to get a screen shot), but ZOS, PLEASE make this happen!
