The "complaints" stem from the preview we were given vs. what we actually got and the unclear communications from ZOS.

I'm still excited about the house, but can admit I'm disappointed that it didn't come with the unfurnished items. It's perfectly fine to be excited AND APPRECIATIVE about something and be disappointed (not upset/angry) at the same time. I'm not complaining that they didn't give us those items, I'm just slightly bummed that those items aren't there. Mostly because I'm a terrible landscaper, so the free trees/shrubs would have meant that I didn't have worry about the outside as much.

But yes - FREE HOUSE! And I cannot wait to start decorating it. But I'm still stuck here at work. Which is why I'm posting pretty much the same thing in every "Villa" thread.

Summerfall was a GREAT event and I hope they do more events like these in the future. We got some great prizes and everyone worked together to get the house. I think we would have gotten the prizes anyway, but the fact that they announced 100% a day before the event ended I think indicated that we had actually achieved that secret number.

ETA: I think clearer communication from ZOS on this would have stemmed some of the complaints. Well, maybe. I guess it just would have meant that people would have complained sooner. I definitely wanted the version that we previewed, but I learned from another poster that ZOS cannot gift unfurnished houses, so it wasn't some bait and switch. But, when Gina said "unfurnished" but another ZOS employee said empty, it lead to questions and a thread asking for clarification, which we never got in that thread.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. Ever.
