Visiting each zone for the first time on foot. This was when I first started, before I was in a guild and before I had more than a couple equally new friends, so I couldn't just teleport hop. Plus I didn't know that feature existed anyway.

But riding from place to place was fantastic. Talk about a sense of scale - it's a big game, ESO is, and it connects in logical ways. Seeing climates slowly shift as I got closer to borders, seeing little atmospheric details and characters you would completely miss if you just Wayshrine everywhere, the excitement of what I'd see when I went over the zone border - it was fantastic. Genuinely felt like I was an adventurer, setting out to explore an entire continent.

Another moment was completely mundane, but completely perfect. I had just finished a tough run of a vet Dungeon with some friends, and I was mentally exhausted. I ported back to Vvardenfell to do some banking and break down some gear, and I just happened to land as the sun was setting. I was at the Vivec City Temple Wayshrine (I had guild hopped there, so I wasn't at my normal Vivec City shrine), and the setting sun on the water, the NPCs, the - for once - surprisingly immersion-friendly PCs around me, the audio effects of the city under construction... for a moment it felt like I was actually standing in a real, living, breathing city. This has happened to me in Abah's Landing a few times too. One of the things that can consistently get me to stop and think, "Wow!"

So many people talking about vMA... I'm personally stuck at the last stage (The name Theater of Despair really fits), and I died there so many times it destroyed my will to play ESO for quite some time. It's such a horrible experience, that if I somehow managed to complete it, I wouldn't think "Yes! I made it! Awesome", I'd think "***.. FINALLY. I never want to visit this place again." It'd be a moment of relief, not a moment of happiness.

First vMA completion. I got stuck on last boss because I though the portals to go up enable at random. Only after a few frustrating attempts I decided to ask a friend and learnt that I need to kill clannfear on it. Then I completed it immediately. Oh boy, that was a happy moment.

Also, completing my first vet trial for the first time, it was vAA. From that moment I knew I can do them all.

PvP wise it was the moment I discovered the effect of stealth -> inner light -> dark flare -> jesus beam. I don't play gangplar anymore but for me it was the very first moment of enlightening clarity that I need to find my combo.

It's very fun to write about your own experiences but have you read what others wrote? If you smile their joy can be yours too, it's so wonderful to appreciate things. Writing about things we love and appreciate and make us happy allows us to relive that joy even if nobody else notices :)

I have so many cherished memories already but my first solo kill in PvP comes to mind immediately. I had been struggling in Cyrodiil for so long as a new player. I felt like a remora, leeching off of gigantic zergs. But I learned slowly.
One day inside a Bruma building, I had to step away from the computer for a moment and when I came back I was being attacked by a Sorceror. I leapt back into control and stabilized the situation. It was a hard fought match: Neither of us were very good in retrospect but over time my patient tanky Magplar approach was able to withstand his damage and slowly whittle his health down. The fight may have lasted almost 10 minutes. It was exhilarating, and in the end, I WON. My first kill. All me. I even started the fight AFK. It was so inspiring. That was a sign that I was getting better, it was what I needed.

Shortly after that, more and more experiences like that began to happen. The other day in Vlastarus, I survived against TWO Dragonknights throwing everything they had at me (Including several meteors) in a fight that was around 5 minutes of non-stop line of sight usage, cleansing DoTs, Breaths of Life, Blocking, and careful resource management. I came close to death so many times but I fought them to a stalemate. My group was busy elsewhere in Cyrodiil, but they noticed my health bar fluctuating madly and asked in Discord how Vlas was. With no mic, I was only able to quickly type "BAD" in all caps. Then they came running. When they finally arrived, I was ready to jump for joy! Heroes! I was saved! They swept in with actual damage and rescued me, killed them, and I just felt so wonderful for surviving for so long: That's exactly what I am built to do (Tank and heal) so it was perfect. We then captured Vlastarus, which was the literally the last capturable thing on the map that wasn't Blue. The Daggerfall Covenant controlled literally all of Cyrodiil! Every last town, resource, scroll, keep, outpost... everything! And the last epic fight was in Vlastarus, with a desperate Paladin fending off two rapid poison and fire dragonknights. EPIC PVP

Sorry to only quote this part of your post but I LOVE reading this and can completely relate. I remember for a long long long time, I would get utterly destroyed in Cyrodiil.

I honestly think that when I started, I'd have died to a torchbug flying past me. I got angrier and angrier. And I started to really loathe PvP.

Then a friend got hold of ESO and as a 'natural' PvPer, they joined me in Cyrodiil. Instantly, things got better, although I was still dying. I never knew at the time but my friend used to watch my playstyle (I think they were fed up of rezzing me constantly LOL).

They then gave me some of the best advice I have received for PvP.

We watched some PvP clips on Youtube and I was like "how the hell can anyone be that good?". And my friend said "Because they never turn around. They never show their back." - I watched the clips again and they were right.

When they were in combat, they would always be facing forward. EVEN WHEN THEY WERE LOSING. But this was rare because they were facing forward and able to react to the enemies strategy. Sure, sometimes they would dust but it was never panicked, just a quick sprint to get out of range/find better terrain, recover and then jump back into the fight.

Since then, I've always tried to do this - to keep facing forward. And since I have, my survivability has massively improved. I'm no longer scared of torchbugs, but low-hanging branches and cliffs still give me cause for concern... :)

One Day, a bunch of zerglings ganked me while i was Tel var farming on my magsorc.

Then i relogged on my stamden, lured them into a small apartment and killed all 18 of them... And the best part is, half of the group was sneaky little NBs, and i got out of there with 50k More Tel var then i lost.

And they didnt bother me the rest of the day so i made 400k Tel var on TOP of that.

That Day i found out how easy it is to make millions in game, which resulted in me making a Great guild with lots of set stations and getting many cool guildies ☺️

In order, first clearing vMA after 6 months, getting my vMoL clear, getting Empress, clearing vHoF, and recently, getting Flawless Conqueror. When the last boss died and I knew I had no deaths, I literally freaked out. I kept saying "f*ck yes" and kinda cried. As someone who used to absolutely hate vMA cuz it gave me so much anxiety, it was amazing.

Sure i have a lot of Wow Memories, in Full HD when, in White Gold Tower the Roof gets taken off, the awesome Design of Morrowind, CWC or Summerset but my fondest Memory is the one of my Birth, waking up in this prison cell in Coldharbour, having Lyris explain to me that I am Dead, meeting the Prophet for the first Time, Im sad that new players start in Summerset, that was the perfect Intro Quest to learn how the Game ticks

My in game wedding to my IRL wife I meet in game. Beating vMoL for the first time getting 5th completion of it on NA. Asking my friend who used to be a dev if the email I got from Gina about visiting ZOS was legit(it was, it was when I went to ZOS HQ for the Morrowind/Warden tests).

And side note: One of the things I laughed most about in game. Seeing a friend of mine as a AD in Cyro, I play EP, and having me and my other friends chase him down. Chased him from Arrius to southern Cheydinhall. He finally died and we teabagged him, he was so pissed being all super serious like. "You guys only killed me cause you outnumbered me" while all we just said was "We just did it for the giggles" and teabagged him some more  A friends salty tears is better than a strangers  He got over it.

First time I managed to solo a normal group dungeon, back in the day.

First time trying battlegrounds and noticing I was actually pretty good at it. Did surprisingly well for a noob, or maybe the other teams were just bad, but I'd like to think iI was pretty good. Now I really enjoy it.
