Minor Maim from Heroic Slash and CC Immune Bosses

Does minor maim from choking talons and heroic slash affect bosses with CC immunity such as those in dungeons and trials? I've noticed that when using heroic slash on a trial boss I get the notification that the target is immune, but I've always assumed that it meant the boss was immune to both the movement speed reduction as well as minor maim. Recently however, I've begun questioning if that notification is only referring to the movement speed reduction from heroic slash but the minor maim is still applying to the boss. Can anyone confirm this?

Does the same apply to choking talons as well? The tooltip says that enemies "hit" are afflicted with minor maim, but I have always assumed that it meant they had to be immobilized by the skill to also receive the minor maim and those who could not be immobilized do not receive the debuff.

same, it still works. Most effects in this game are seperatly checked, so if you cast talons you actually try to cast the immobilization (which fails) and the maim (which works) at the same time.

Bosses and other key enemies are primarily immune to speed reductions and immobilisations, but they are most definitely “not immune” to minor maim.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.
