Yes, I'm being serious. Please enlighten me.
The point is not wanting CP, it's about wanting to start from scratch.

I understand what you are after. many wont, for most its about power leveling through the game on turbo then moaning about a lack of end game. Sadly all you can do is not assign the CP.
I recently been leveling toons on a different region and actually enjoyed the from the begining aspect. i'd admit to having a side toon to get goin on CP, but with my main i'm enjoy having no CP and seeing the game now as I saw it 3 years ago. So dont rule out starting again elsewhere as well.
I see your point, but CP is meant as a post levelling system that augments your characters abilities. The way you are perceiving it equates it with levelling from 1 to 50. If that were the case, they would just say "top level is 780" not 50. Btw, until your new character gets to level 50 you won't accrue more cp so you'll still be able to grind to max CP.Siohwenoeht wrote: »CP is account wide, always has been. That's almost word for word what support's first answer was.
Again it's not about wanting any changes in the game or wanting CP to be character based. It is just about wanting to zero the CP to start from scratch now that I've learned the ropes, with the option to do it again if I want.

Thanks. I get the way it works. I'll persevere with it though and hope it won't feel too OP when I get to assign 215 all at once

Lol, you could always set an arbitrary goal for assigning only 1 point at a time, for instance, assign 1 cp after each dungeon clear

Last night I deleted all but my latest character. The deleted ones were all just me learning the ropes really but one of them had got up to CP215. Even after deleting all those characters these points remain on the account and are available to my currently level 18 character.
I don't intend to use them until I hit level 50, but all the same, it seems a bit too easy to me. Once this character maxes out its CP then after that the only levelling I will need to do on any new character will be up to 50 and then bang! fully maxed CP.
I asked customer support if my CP could be reset to zero so I could start from scratch, but apparently that is not possible. The solution I was given was to start again on another server!
I don't understand how this is not possible really. It's just a number and if there are no characters with CP applied to them, what difference does it make?
I'm not asking for any changes here, just the option to reset only the CP when there are none used across the account. It doesn't even have to be something I could do myself, perhaps being done by a support ticket on request.

The way it works is you start at level 1 (well 3 if you skip the tutorial) and your character is battle scaled up to cp160 (afaik), you gradually lose that battle scaling (also your stats will decrease) until you hit level 50 since you will be unlocking skills/passives/gear etc. where your character will then be CP10 (this is your weakest point stats wise).
You then gradually gain back your stats until cp160 where you're as strong as you were at level 3. After that you gain CP (account wide) which will make you stronger from that point onwards.
The initial reason (afaik) for it being implemented was due to people creating new characters, having to level to 50, then grind out 16 VR levels (equivalent to cp160 without the enlightenment) on top of having to quest, lorebook, mages, fighters, (now psijic) again which was just too much to be bothered doing. EDIT: Add Skyshards.
The reason for battle scaling was since certain zones had say level 40 monsters which would be impossible to kill unless you were close to that level, same with quests. So now until you hit level 50 everything is scaled to one level (including mobs, quests and yourself).
Dont worry about getting there too quickly, I've basically played daily since November last year & am still 70 points off cap with 30 more being added in the next month or so (even after hitting cap you can theoretically earn 3600 cp just cant assign them).
*If im wrong on any parts of this please tag and correct me, can't find much info on this stuff so just reiterating what I've heard mixed with my opinion & experience*

How do you know you've hit a level after 50 though, especially if you're maxed out?

When, if ever, I stop getting notices that he's leveled up I'll be giving him one or two points a day depending on how many hours I play. I rarely earn three a day on my main so I have a good benchmark.

Yeah first 300 or so you'll get 2-3 a day, next 300 or so you'll get 1-2 a day, next lot until cap you'll get 0-1 a day.
Enlightenment gives you enough to shoot to around CP90 straight away, after that CP gets harder to earn.

I was gaining upwards of 6 champion points at a time when completing a vet dungeon with a 150% XP scroll and enlightenment on my alt account
