low FPS

I have a intel Core i5-2450m CPU @ 2.5GZ processor with 6GB of RAM.
I run World of warcraft on ultra settings and get 30-40 FPS.
BUT EOS is unplayable even at minimum settings running 8-20 FPS.
Which doesnt make sense to me because WoW has 10X better graphics and runs so much better.
I know that Wow has a older system and ESO has a newer system, but shouldnt that make ESO have better graphics?
I have tinkered with the video settings trying every setting out, downloaded addons, and even got a game booster but nothing seems to work. I hope Bethesda works on this issue because until they do, this game is a waste of 60$

I'd love to have some of the drugs you are smoking.. WoWs graphics are nowhere near as nice as ESO...

however i know there is a memory leak in ESO right now.. next time you play the game check your FPS as you first log in.. it is probably fairly good.. after awhile it degrades to the point it is unplayable. if you have task manager up you will notice ESO takes up around 4Gb of ram when this happens.. restarting the game fixes the issue.

You have had the most insightful response. Does this mean it is a problem on their end and not mines? I have a computer identical to OP and my story is the same. so what can be done about this?

WOW has better graphics? That's funny. WOW looks like a Nintendo 64 game compared to ESO.

That said, you didn't list what GPU you have. WOW has MUCH lower GPU requirements (due to having a much older engine and much simpler graphics). ESO requires a much better GPU to run on high settings than WOW does, for obvious reasons.

This is my GPU. AMD Radeon HD 8650g. I know it wont run perfectly but it should not be at the degree that it is. Especially considering (which is a very strong point IMO) I played perfectly fine before launch on high settings even in populated areas

They'll eventually increase the FPS to be a lot better in later patches.

Also during the stress test many effects were disabled in zones. So the release game has higher requirements and slightly lower FPS than release.

The net from the FPS thread we have on foundry is that you need a powerful CPU and a good GPU. In your case your CPU is going to bottleneck in many places and your GPU isn't going to fair all that well either unfortunately.

Your main problem is your integrated video and the fact that its memory is share with the CPU, even if they fix the memory issue i don't think you will get more than 30 fps at low settings.
