Hahaha. I also came in with Morrowind. A Nord stam/magic DK hybrid with heavy armor and sword and board. Hey, I had only played Skyrim before.

Magic Templar with Kags, Skoria, Willpower, 2 torugs swords and inferno back bar. I did a bunch of research coming in and had an idea of what to do, but also met someone pretty early who essentially showed me what would be a good start for me.

Orc DK tank with S/B + 2H. Like a lot of people I spread my attribute points out way too much. Darn near equal IIRC. Cause it made sense at the time.

Which for a tank it wasn't too bad a setup. Lots of resources but I still was lacking in health.

Oh, that was a veeeeery long time ago. I created an Imperial Templar, cause Imperials were the special race that came with imperial edition, and my character was created on day 1. The game was a total mess, so I quit when I reached level 40ish.
Then, about an year later, I went on to become a tank. I used Hist Bark, along with Lord Warden monster set and Endurance jewelry. I don't remember what I had for S/B. Good ol days. My focus was on being a Tank/Healer/Group buffer. It was pretty fun, but I moved on to be a DPS to complete vMA and have remained one since then.

My first "build" was as a Khajiit Nightblade running Hunding's and something else, can't quite remember these days.
She's since been turned into a full time Grand Master Crafter so very few skills points till I get off my rump to Skyshard hunt with her. xD

My first "build" was a stam DK, Bosmer, 2H and no idea on the gear - I think I had her in Lamia at some point though??? She eventually tried to be an mDK, but that didn't work out and now she's back to stam + WW + lots of poison dmg, but she mostly just does writs these days lol

I don’t do builds, I do characters. My first character was a lightning mage. In ‘build’ lingo, that means a magicka based sorcerer who primarily uses storm calling and destruction staff skills.

My first build was an Argonian Templar Healer.
I knew right off the bat I wanted to play Argonian because they've always been my favorite race, and since their passives seemed to suit a tank or healing role that's what I decided to go with.

This was my first real experience with a MMO and for whatever reason I thought that healing would be easier than either DPS or tanking. Now that I've tried all three roles across many classes, I'm pretty sure I would have found a DK tank build easier to start with.

My Argonian healer is still my main character, but I've been moving towards tanking more now that I've had fun with healing. DPS still doesn't really appeal to me.

Back in the start I was a dirty red stamblade ... Was one of the first to go full stam build ... Purely cos I didn't know better ... I would get FR and people asking about my build being so damage orientated then complaints at how *** it was for solo play and nearly always dead

I would spend hours outside a dungeon in the hopes of being picked up by randomers going in through the door which was more the done thing in those days

I took a break and returned after the vr levels were gone n restarted as as stamplars ...loved it so much made a magplar ... She's now my main

Stamina DK. Played regularly until they turned them from a cool fire breathing class to the vomit / noxious breath class, then lost interest.

That was when I decided to not participate in the top level end game stuff. I had noticed that ZOS periodically comes along and changes all the classes indiscriminately. It is much easier, less stressful, and more fun to play less demanding content that can easily adapt to whatever putzing around ZOS wants to do.

I was a magblade hybride. With the softcap we had, I had kinda unique build. Melee magblade with bow backbar. It worked pretty well for me. Of course I was never accepted in dungeons haha.

For PvP I really liked it. Sniping people and then rush in for the kill or cloak the hell out.

High elf Magicka Templar. I started this game because I saw an ad about Elves andVampires. Sadly, now my magicka templar isno longer a proud, tall high elf, she's now a disgusting slave. aka argo.

Same lol. I made a high elf sorcerer with bow and resto staff(and pets)

The pets would attack the mob, while I was nuking from range with the bow doing 0 dmg.

Figured it was a really smart strategy to use both my resources for damage, since i kept running out of magicka.

This was about 3.5 years ago though, so hybrid builds weren't catastrophic. Was "only" a bad idea.

Hybrid Nightblade bow/bow Dark Elf in heavy armor... Mind you this was back at the start of the game when NB was pretty much the worst class too. It seriously couldn't have been any weaker, now hes my crafter and I would never even consider doing any content with him

I first made a nord magsorc and she wore a literal bunch of random gear pieces, and not to mention I picked the wrong race for a magsorc. I didn't know what to pick lol. I've turned that character into a crafter, since it's my oldest character. I really need to get a race change for her.
