Character locked? No idea why.

As of a couple hours ago, I have been unable to use my level 8 Templar. Whenever I click on him, it says " error: character locked ". It does not give me the window saying to change the name, or anything like that(and besides, the name is not offensive in any way shape or form, so that's not it). I can use all my other characters, except this one.

Anyone had this happen?

    Yea, I had to re-name my character and after that when I tried to log into it I couldn't.

    I would send a ticket. If you have been banned then its against the rules to talk about it on the forums but im sure if your account was banned or suspended then you wouldn't be able to log your other characters. Not sure what to suggest other than the ticket or hope one of the friendly mods sees this and jumps to help like a knight of the nine or is it 8 in ESO? :)

    His account isn't banned. One of his characters is locked.

    No I am not banned, as I am sitting in the game right now playing on a different character... I did not have to rename this particular character either, so it's not that.

    I had to rename mine. Apparently "Al-Qaeda" isn't a good name. :\

    this is getting out of hand with this insanity with the the naming of characters.

    I don't think they have a sense of humour. Its the world we live in today where everyone is offended by the smallest thing or so we are lead to believe.

    Im afraid these get reported fast. There are no beavers in TESO so this name is clearly against the lore
    How about Sycosis-the-skeever-slayer ;)

    thats the thing i dont want to make a name that is according to lore. If I want to name my character Where did the ball go , I love lamp, or something of that sort i want to be able to without some RPer loosing their ***.
